Leon Scott Kennedy is an American of Italian descent[9] currently employed as a federal agent by the Division of Security Operations (D.S.O.), a counter-terrorism agency under direct Presidential command. Kennedy is a known survivor of the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident, at the time a police officer. Following his escape, he was forcefully recruited into a top secret anti-Umbrella team under USSTRATCOM devoted to anti-B.O.W. combat.

Dutch van der Linde is an outlaw having a gang consisting with John Marston, Arthur Morgan, Micah Bell, Charles Smith, Javier Escuella, Bill Williamson, Abigail Roberts and several others. Dutch would often joke around with his fellow gang members and had a kind, playful disposition. He would often make motivational speeches to encourage the gang to come together in times of hardship while preaching that "loyalty" and "faith".Dutch displayed genuine compassion for his fellow gang members.

He is always impeccably dressed and does not take kindly to being insulted. He enjoys music  and he plays guitar and sings as well as writes his own music. He is a romantic who is very passionate. He is a loyal man who when he cares about people. He cares about them deeply. He is very protective.
