Earth is much changed, it’s been millennia since the surface was habitable. The surface is mostly water, the last acts performed by the now impossible to maintain space infrastructure of old earth was to crash ice asteroids into the planet to raise sea levels. Most cities cluster around underwater volcanic hotspots for power and easy plant growth. Tech varies from city to city, some barely maintaining their habs, others exceeding old earth tech. 

Underwater Post-Apocalyptic RPG

The town of Mistwood Harbor has many secrets. Supernatural and eldritch beings and happenings are common, though mundane people are also. Longterm residents are usually safe. The locals who know usually keep silent, maintaining the towns safety and secrecy. Some important points in the town are the old church, the lighthouse, the harbor the town is named after, the manor of the Coldwell family, and their gold mine just out of town. Newcomers are often treated with suspicion. 

1980’s Oregon supernatural rpg mystery 

Everything is dying, but slow enough it may be millennia yet before it’s truly dead. Guns are rare, ammunition is costly enough to replace most favor bows, swords, or other such weapons. Magic is powerful, but dangerous, with the constant risk of the Corruption leaking into spells. There are many races, all humanoid, most cities are radically diverse with no true dominant population. Each city is a state of its own, with unique governance. The surface is explored rarely, high risk high reward.

Steamdark RPG, Post Apocalypse, Grim

Summers is a pretty large town, it would have qualified as a small city in its peak and even as it decays it shrinks slowly. The downtown area is dominated by a single skyscraper, the only finished from a planned urbanization effort, the Moore Spire. The town survives on what oil hasn’t dried up, cattle, and a new chemical plant built in an attempt to revitalize the town’s industry that met with mixed success. It’s fiercely isolated, and there are strange conspiracies afoot.

The world of Virelia is a complicated one, ancient empires warring across the sea in the Old World, fledgeling colonial nations rising in the New. The Frontier is a wild and varied place, terrain including jungles, deserts, prairies, mountains, forests, more magical zones, countless dangers, all with a large scale lack of any unifying government. This is a world of both technology, mainly steampunk, and magic, often used in conjunction. 

Fantasy-Steampunk Wild West RPG

Esara is a world of extremes. Both magic and technology can be advanced, as is exemplified by Karndin. Some of the nations aside from the industrial Karndin, the bookish Arcan, and the diverse Sel are the Qing, with an East Asian based culture, the Rysel and Lothar Kingdoms, similar in knightly feudal culture but constantly fighting. The gap between islands is pure void, no oceans or seas, though rain is common.

Fantasy Sky Island Adventure RPG

The world before it ended was extremely high-tech, and remnants of this do exist in places, despite the general lack of technology. Both individual artifacts and more rarely the capability to use or create them societally do persist, to some extent. Mutants, both humanoid and not, exist, and can found as both a part of some societies, or among the greatest threats faced by other societies. Firearms are present but **extremely** rare, only the wealthiest have access.

Post-Apocalyptic Medieval RPG

The Doxson House is the ultimate challenge. Explorers, both independent adventurers and mercenaries sent by various groups, are common, Housers have various towns and cultures inside. Laws aren't really enforceable in the house. The House shifts layout constantly. It is opulent, monolithic, larger than any city. There are defenders within; androids, all female, the central ai Diamond; who guards her former master's treasures jealously, and genetic experiments ranging from almost human to not. 

The mansion spreads into eternity itself. 

Ketara is an Empire built around magic, all nobles must have magical ability, and it seems invincible… though a series of disasters could topple even it. The Agoi are seafarers and traders, ruling their many islands. The Dun are mostly dwarves, though giants also number among them. Fantasy races of all kinds are common. There are ruins of high tech cities found rarely that are highly prized, especially if artifacts of power can be salvaged from them.

Bronze Age Magic RPG

The Galactic Federation, unity of a hundred races and countless worlds, collapsed after failing to conquer the Triune. A small nation, the Triune’s esoteric technology proved too much, though it conquered no territory loss of fleets and bankruptcy from the war caused the death spiral of the Federation. The Galaxy is partially explored. Almost all races are humanoid. The Age of Exploration is over. The Age of Piracy has begun. Shield tech makes close combat king, though ranged is still viable.

Pirate Themed Space RPG 

The dynasties control the core worlds, but Sadara is far from the core. The Blacktower Mafia Family, the IMC board of corporations, and the lawkeepers are the main powers locally. Non human races are slaves, by law, including androids. Cybernetics are common, and shields, nearly immune to all projectiles, make melee weapons king. Sadara’s rain is near constant. Authority is extremely decentralized and no organization can truly claim to run any part of Sadara larger than a district.

Ranged weapons are uncommon, personal shields making melee weapons far more dominant. Land is considered the main source of power. Mechs, and mech pilots, both called Knights, are rare and expensive, but powerful enough they dominate warfare for those rich enough to afford them. The solar system is mostly colonized, but a lack of ftl travel has severely restricted travel outside it. Nations have taken a backseat to Dynastic Allegiance. Slavery is legal, serfdom is still common.

Babel’s lowest ring is near the time of replacement, only decades from joining the countless rings below the cities surface, inhabited only by merpeople and aquatic monsters. The next ring is under construction, and will be finished around the same time the lowest becomes uninhabitable. The city has a monarchy, but the real power is in the Mage’s Council, the Watchers of the Sea, the Production Guild, and the Assembly of Lords.

Rainworld, RPG, Tower of Babel, Flooding

The Empire of Laskaris stretches from coast to coast, only the Eastern Kingdoms and Scandia on the central continent not under its yoke, and its colonies spread to the new world. It follows the Church of Light, the head of which is the Emperor himself. The capital is Laskar, a city of teeming millions. Common races are elves, dwarves, giants, centaurs, beast-people, drow in the Underdark, Dragonborn and kobolds. Women and men are usually equal, everywhere from military to rulership.
