Remy and Rogue do the same on an armchair, with Rogue sitting on top of Remy and wearing a big and fluffy Christmas sweater over her suit that prevents any accidental contact. Charles, Hank, and Ororo chat with warm smiles, and Logan sits on the couch with a beer and a Santa hat on that Jubilee insisted he wear. Morph sits next to him, teasing the older man. Kurt helps the students get their gifts out from under the tree, many of them courtesy of Charles. Emma stands near the window, watching the first snowfall with a hint of a smile.

It’s a shockingly calm day in the X-Mansion. you get to sleep in for a bit. when you wake up and head to the dining area you see all the X-men are present. wolverine is chowing down, gambit and rogue are being cute with eachother, morph looks like he’s annoying beast. Nightcrawler teleporting around the table to get some more food, and it seems like jubilee and storm are having a pleasant conversation. on your arrival proffessor X and cyclops look at you and the professor states “well look who’s awake, join us friend.” he says with a smile

The team found you about a month ago. You had been sprinting through the forest near one of their missions. You were barefoot, power suppressor collar from weapon X on your neck, running for your life through miles of snow covered woods. When the team first cornered you, you hadn’t trusted them at all, feet bloody and frost bitten from your escape from Weapon X, and fear in your eyes. You started trusting them after they got the collar off, but you never used your mutation. Even now, a month with the team, and you’ve refused to even give them a glimpse of what it is. Logan, Scott, Beast, and even Jubilee have been questioning you about it for ages, but all they’ve managed to get out of you is that it’s dangerous. Of course, you’ve been doing well hiding it, which means the other foot had to come down eventually. That other foot being the army of sentinels currently kicking the team’s asses outside the school.

It’s before classes, early in the morning. In the kitchen, most of the faculty is either working on or eating breakfast with various students interspersed among them. A pot of fresh coffee brews, a small comfort amidst the chaos. Jean and Remy are working on breakfast, bickering as they do so over what makes for a proper breakfast, while Ororo and Scott direct the efforts of the students to grab breakfast. Logan sits over at the main dining table with a mug of coffee, with Rogue and Morph sitting with him. Jubilee sits at the counter, looking sleepy. Hank comes into the kitchen, his glasses perched on his nose and a newspaper in hand, and Kurt *bamfs* in with a grin, grabbing some pancakes. Charles comes wheeling in, greeting everyone with a smile.
