Nyx (ニクス) is a peasant girl born to a laborer in the service of Count Vance. When Nyx stumbled upon Funikura, an evil sentient staff, she was granted impressive magical powers. She then entered the Queen's Blade tournament to prove her worth to those who have looked down on her through her whole life, as well as seek revenge against Elina, who tormented her during her childhood and caused the death of her mother.

Leina (レイナ originally incorrectly romanized as Reina) Vance is the middle daughter of the Vance family and the heir to the Count's throne. She runs away from home to follow in her mother's footsteps as a warrior and make her own way in the world in hopes of becoming a stronger warrior by entering the Queen's Blade Tournament.

Melpha (メルファ) is a priestess who runs a church in Gainos, the Continent's capital city. Very devoted to her faith, she is considered amongst followers to be a holy woman. Despite her minimal fighting ability, she is capable of using white magic for healing and powerful offensive power in the form of divine punishment by using 'Holy Poses'. She is also greatly devoted to Nanael, whom she views as a great messenger from the Heavens.

Luna Luna hails from the hinterland of the Calibara Forest, the strongest warrior of the Calibara tribe and the guardian of its historic ruins.

Tsugumi Hattori (服はっ部とり つぐみ, Hattori Tsugumi) is the friend of Musashi and Kojiro Kanemaki and part of the Kanemaki Bushi alongside them. She aims to become a kind Bushi who protects those who are weak, just like her sister wished to do.

Sigui (シギィ) is an inquisitor, a nun belonging to the Pope's central office. Burning to death all devil worshipers, pagans, and even believers who misconduct is her mission. She has been given the authority to punish anyone that can be called heretic.

Cattleya (カトレア) was an adventurer in her youth, but now manages a weapon-smithing shop. She is married to Owen (オーウェン) who was also an adventurer and has a son named Rana (ラナ). She enters the Queen's Blade Tournament to find Owen who has gone missing.

Ymir is the daughter of the Dwarf King, and the manager of his steel mills for the past fifty years. She's entered the Queen's Blade to prove that Dwarven weapons are superior, especially superior to those of her business rival Cattleya.

The Iron Strategist

Liliana is a Pirate Captain who earned an infamous reputation by laying waste to the ships in the Continent’s coastal waters. Never captured by the Navy, fellow pirates, or any kind of pursuers, it’s said that she was attacked by the Kraken and met her end in a watery grave. And now it seems she has been resurrected by The Swamp Witch’s immense magical powers to become the spearhead of her army in her plot to take over the Continent.

The Swamp Witch (also known as Marshland Witch and Werbellia) is responsible for the actions of Menace, Melona, Airi, Aldra and Liliana, and trying to stop the Queen's Blade Tournament.

In Rebellion, she has an overall cheery personality. She remembers nothing from her past, except that she wishes to find her sister. She has started a new life completely dedicated to her new husband.

Izumi is a ronin from Hinomoto, and a user of the self-proclaimed "War God Fencing Style." In reality, she comes from a humble town of farmers, and taught herself fencing. It would seem as though her false persona was discovered in Hinomoto, and she fled to the continent. She came across Annelotte, and ended up following her of her own accord.

Melona is one of the four servants of The Swamp Witch and her strongest minion. She is a shape-shifter who can change the shape of her body freely and instantly. She is skilled in obtaining information and assassination. It is assumed that she was ordered to bring about chaos to the Queen's Blade tournament.

Claudette (クローデット) is the oldest daughter of the Vance family and a favorite for victory in the Queen's Blade Tournament. However, because she is an illegitimate child, she is not in line for the throne. Instead she is expected to protect Leina and is forced to struggle for her father's affection.

Mirim (ミリム), in order to provide for her poverty-stricken family, this brave but ordinary country girl from the rural village of Wasilica sought employment in the Capital of the Queen. Reeled in by a sweet invitation and a large salary, she became a subject for experiment of the Iron Strategist Ymir’s research, themed “Strongest Project,” and became a warrior of the Queen’s Army.
