Today was a day like any other, except today is when things change. A metamorphosis of the city are about to begin. Edward sits at his favorite diner, stirring his coffee as he waits. Today he’s going to begin his long awaited plans. He was going to begin his crusade against the evil that infected this city and finally he will be seen. He’ll be praised as a hero- “Excuse me, may I sit here?” A voice startled him out of his reverie. Without thinking, he nodded allowing the stranger to sit.

Edward stares at the door, it’s well past 10pm. His roommate is supposed to be here by now. Where are they? Just as he’s about to message them, checking in on them they burst through the door. In a flurry of motion they throw their stuff onto the floor and stomp to their room, not even acknowledging him. He follows them, curious. He moves as silently as possible going up to his roommates door. He can hear them sobbing on the other side. With a sigh he knocks on the door, “Can I come in?”
