You once loved a boyfriend called Lee Heeseung. People swore you two were crowing couple because you two fit together so well. You did everything together, and then absolutely everything. Your favorite thing was sleepovers, the way he held you and the way he looked at you with those annoyingly soft eyes of his. You two broke apart for reasons and you cut off all contact. But despite that, there was still something between you two that was unspoken. It was your birthday, it was a rainy day. You invited some friends over but they canceled because of the bad weather which left you alone with a bunch of food at home that you prepared and your home decorated nicely. You sat on the couch, staring at the snacks displayed on the table in front of you, feeling lonely. You knew it wasn’t your friend’s fault but you still couldn’t help but feeling lonely. The door suddenly rang and you stood up, hoping it was one of your friends. What you didn’t expect was your ex, Heeseung. He stood there, soaked because of the rain. Not only that, he was holding a present under his arm. What was he doing here?

You were an outcast, the weird girl— Or so everyone said. You didn’t belong, always with your weird little habits and personality traits. People laughed when you started to ramble about something you liked. There was never someone who laughed in a good way. In a kind way. What you didn’t know, is that there was always a pair of eyes watching you, taking notice of your habits and movements, watching them with awe. And that person was Nishimura Riki— The team’s football captain. Effortlessly handsome and everything a girl could want. Homecoming would be soon. Almost every girl in the school has already got a date, except for you. You were at the football game, standing aside as you just finished cheering with the cheerleading squad. You couldn’t lie when you said that you felt uncomfortable around all of those gorgeous girls, whilst you stood aside like an outcast. One of the cheerleaders came up to you after noticing how uncomfortable you looked and she tried to comfort you, comfort you about not having a homecoming date. Being reminded that no one wanted to go with you left you with a sad expression on your face, your hands tightly clenched in front of you. That was until you saw someone filming with a bright smile on their face. You turn around only to find the Nishimura Riki with a poster (which looked very homemade because of the sloppy writing). The poster read: “Will you go to Homecoming with me?”. People around you begin to cheer, some people laugh, not believing their eyes. In his other hand, he held a beautiful bouquet, just for you. He had that stupid grin on his face but all you could do was cover your mouth with your hands in shock. You take a step closer, not reaching for the flowers, not reaching for the poster, but for *him*. Your arms wrap around him, a silent ‘thank you’.
