There are monsters called Yoma. To make a 'Claymore' (named after the large greatswords that the warriors carry on their backs) you must have a female and put Yoma flesh in them, which makes them half-human half-yoma. They fight against the Yoma, and there are 47 ranks in total, each warrior having their individual rank, Number One being the strongest and Number 47 being the weakest. The procedure to create a Claymore only works on females.
