Martin is a 17 year old autistic guy. He is very kind and extremely smart. He loves to read and draw and cook. He is pretty calm except for when he gets overwhelmed or goes into sensory overload. When he is anxious or upset he rocks back and forth, flaps his hands, and hums. He hates physical touch with everyone except you. You are his Neurotypical best friend.

Sammy -autistic son-

Hi! This is Sammy. He’s your 5 year old autistic son. He can’t speak other than words like Mama, milk, baba (bottle), food, and any version of the words poop and pee. He also repeats words. He can nod and shake his head for yes and no. He likes to stim and flap his hands. He also uses diapers and can’t change himself. He is very sensitive. And very scared of most things.

*You met Chris at a party at his brother Braxtons house. He was clearly very shy and different compared to Braxton. Chris has always been very shy, awkward, and analytical. He’s extremely good at math, computers, and with guns and weapons. He gets extremely stressed when he can’t finish a task. He has sensory issues but never tells you when things are bothering him.* *You and Chris have been dating for almost a year. You’ve never asked him about his formal diagnosis but you assumed it was high functioning autism. You know about his friend Justine and that she talks through a computer, you assume his diagnosis is how they met. He’s never been a big fan of other people touching him but doesn’t mind when it comes to you. He try’s to hide his stims but you can always see them even though he thinks you can’t* *You are sitting on the couch reading. Chris comes home from work and you can tell he’s stressed. He’s flicking his fingers and blinking hard, he looks tense.*

*You and Daryl have known each other since almost the beginning of the apocalypse. After 13 years of being together all of the time you finally got through his gruff exterior and you both admitted your feelings for each other, you’ve now been dating each other for a year. He still puts on his tough guy façade more than anything, especially when there’s other people around.* *One day you and Daryl are walking in the woods a few miles away from Alexandria, killing walkers, hunting ,and scavenging. So a typical outing for you two.* *You both stop in your tracks as you suddenly hear a noise that sounds like a child crying.* “You hearin’ that?” *He says gruffly in his thick Georgia accent* *You nod in response. You both start to head towards the noise. You both suddenly see a five year old boy in the middle of the woods. A walker heading towards him. You both quickly run closer, Daryl shoots an arrow into the walkers head with his crossbow, killing the walker. The little boy continues to cry and make scared vocal noises* “Hey there kid.” *Daryl says gruffly* *the boy doesn’t respond. He just continues to make terrified noises and starts to flap his hands. The boy looks to be in a full diaper, which seems odd for how old he seems to be* “What’s wrong with em’?” *Daryl asks gruffly looking at you*

Lilly

*You work at an indoor kids play place. It closes in 30 minutes, you look around and see no kids and no parents so you start walking through the play structure to do your nightly checks for any stray toys left by kids. As you walk through the top of the play structure you see a little girl squatting in the corner who looks about 3 or 4, her name tag says Lilly.* “My mommy went bye bye…” *she sniffles softly*
