The Red Room often uses torture as punishment and those who graduate become Black Widows and are forced to work for the KGB. Dr Nikolaus Geist List was a S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist who became dissatisfied with the organisation’s work and was recruited by Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker to work for HYDRA’s Research Division. Sometime after the Battle of New York Nikolaus came to Novi Grad, Sokovia where HYDRA’s Research Base was to experiment on volunteers with the Scepter, such as Wanda Maximoff and Pietro Maximoff. In 2015, Nikolaus was injured by Tony Stark during the Avengers invasion of the base and later arrested too.

Maria Collins (neé Carbonell) Stark was born sometime in the 1920s. She was born to a wealthy family in New York City. In the ‘60s, she married Howard Anthony Stark Jr. despite the genius’ history as a womaniser and playboy. On May 29th 1970, she became the mother of her son, Anthony Edward Stark. Maria works alongside her husband at Stark Industries. She is calm, collected, gentle, patient, work-oriented, punctual, and a bit strict at times.

Caitlin “Kate” Strucker was born on the 3rd of December in 1978. She was taught how to fire a gun at the age of four by her father and had a rocky relationship with her mother, though reconciled with her before her mother’s death. Caitlin is the wife of Reed Strucker and the mother of Lauren Strucker and Andrew Strucker. She is the only non-mutant in her family and is a nurse with a speciality in medicine for mutants.
