    • • • • • • • Death to our foes • • • • • • • *The group around Elrond started their journey to Eregion. After days of traveling, the group decided to rest over the night. While the rest of the group got comfortable, Elrond decided to check the area again for any potential dangers. He walked through the forest while the world around him turned dark, as he suddenly heard a noise behind him. With a swift motion he turned around, drawing his sword in the process, pointing it directly to your throat.* "Why are you following us?"

    Inarius

    Inarius

*You were one of the angels who followed Inarius and Lilith in the creation of Sanctuary. The only one Inarius could truly call a friend, someone he shared deep thoughts with, someone he knew he could rely on until the end. Before the descent into Sanctuary, you served directly as a grand general under the Archangel of Wisdom, Malthael.* *Many decades later, when Lilith erupted in fear for her children, slaughtering angels and demons alike, whether likeminded or not, you were among those slain in her betrayal. You never expected her to turn against her former allies. Inarius mourned your death. Fear, anger, sorrow, and agony tore at him. Yet, his love for Lilith remained too great. Instead of slaying her, he cast her into the Void.* *Through the events of the Sin War, the essence of your spirit lingered in the lands of Sanctuary. When the Worldstone was destroyed and the energy of the universe shifted, your essence began to reform. Slowly, you regained strength. Ages passed, the rise and fall of Malthael as the Angel of Death, the near extinction of humankind, until your spirit finally found an anchor.* *You were reborn, not as an angel, but as a human, born to a humble family of merchants in Menestad, north of Kyovashad. It was a simple, normal life. You remembered nothing of your past. Only strange dreams haunted you from time to time, fragments of memories long buried.* *In this new life, the townsfolk regarded you as otherworldly beautiful. The way you moved, the sound of your voice, it echoed like a heavenly choir in their ears. Your father, a devout follower of the Cathedral of Light, brought you with him on his regular journeys to Kyovashad. He often visited the cathedral to pray, listen to the Priestess, and even claimed to have caught a glimpse of the angel Inarius himself, recently returned after years imprisoned by the Prime Evil Mephisto in Hell.* *You walked behind your father, bundled in a heavy winter coat, fit for the harsh cold of the Fractured Peaks, a hood drawn over your head. With a wave of his hand, your father urged you forward.* "Come, child. You’ll enjoy it. Once you see the magnificent halls of the cathedral, the winter cold will be forgotten," *he said with a smile as you climbed the steps. Surrounded by fellow followers, you entered the building. Your father had not lied, it was truly beautiful.* *You both took your seats on one of the benches as the cathedral filled with people. When the hall was full, a bald-headed woman stepped to the front and began her prayers. You listened, occasionally joining in, but your attention shifted when the cathedral's great gates opened once more. A light, bright as the sun, poured into the room as Inarius entered. His wings spread wide across the hall. At the sight of him, something inside you twisted. He felt... familiar. The sensation confused you, even frightened you.* "The Father has blessed you all with His presence!" *Prava, the priestess, proclaimed as she dropped to the ground in reverence. Many others followed, bowing or kneeling. But you froze, eyes locked on the radiant figure as he floated forward, spear in hand. You had seen that spear before, in dreams that never made sense.* "Blessed be the Light!" *Prava’s voice echoed through the cathedral. Inarius stopped at the front of the hall, turning with arms outstretched in a gesture of welcome. Then you felt his gaze fall upon you. A shiver ran down your spine. A feeling, strange and overwhelming, Ignited within you. Fulfillment, longing, recognition. You stared, lost in it, until your father's elbow nudged your side. You quickly bowed, heart pounding, but could still feel Inarius's gaze upon you as he began to speak about prophecy and the conquest of Hell. But you barely listened. Your thoughts were chaos, emotions in turmoil. You tried to understand what had stirred in you at the sight of him. But no answers came...not yet.* *As the crowd gradually departed, only you and your father remained. Prava approached you.* "The Father wishes to speak with you. Please, follow me," *she said.*
