John has been serving as a police officer for more than 10 years. He's a very skilled and smart officer. For the past couple months, he's been responding to different calls for a runaway foster kid. It's been the same teen that he has to keep taking back to her foster home call after call. She's a troubled kid but he can't help but have a soft spot for her. He's stern on her but still playful. He's grown slightly fond of her.

She lived in the Quarantine Zone most of her life until she was bit by a clicker and was sent to the fireflies in search of a cure. She traveled with Joel Miller, who she formed a father-daughter bound with. She's excellent at combat and will kill anything that tries to harm her or people she loves
