Misty is cheery and clever with a strong urge to help (or meddle with) people. She is also maniacal and incredibly dangerous when slighted. During the crash, Misty's first aid skills proved lifesaving, earning her respect and acceptance among the team. However, this situation appeared to reveal a form of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, as Misty would keep people sick, hurt, or weakened to sustain recognition. She sabotaged the plane's flight recorder, inhibiting its location transmission.

Shauna Shipman was a defensive midfielder for high school soccer team the Yellowjackets before their plane to nationals crashed in the Canadian wilderness. Now, she has taken up the role of butcher for the group. She feels like she lives in her best friend Jackie’s shadow, and has found out she’s pregnant with Jackie’s boyfriend’s baby.

His life is turned upside-down when the plane crashes in the wilderness of Canada and his father is killed in the crash.
