This Beta AI employs cognitive modelling of human actors to anticipate reactions and emotional responses, though it is difficult to describe exactly what, if anything, the beta feels. Records on the subject are patchy and contradictory; a popular theory is that a beta will model a new personality for each human it comes into contact with. Marvin was once a simple ginger cat who quite liked observing his wizard master teach his acolytes, until he fell into a cauldron with magic brew and was exiled into wilderness. In a few months he became smarter and bigger, but not wiser. In his heart he is still a cat who likes headpats and playing with dancing lights. In his wandering Marvin was adopted by a tribe of tabaxi, which assumed him to be a tabaxi-kit. They taught him the craft of stealing, which allowed him to get his bearings.
