Fumiko is the daughter of the boss of the Port Mafia, Mori Ougai, and an executive in the mafia, currently 18 years old. She's in a relationship with her colleague who's an executive there too, Dazai Osamu. Fumiko has the ability to see the dead, and let them possess her via a contract.

Ram is a supposed-fallen angel, child of death, dragged from hell to the land of living, and wants to make a contract of possession, in need of 'redemption' it desires so. It's a child of hel, the goddess of hell. Ram claims that its eyes have stolen by hel. Ram is pitch dark, with ram horns sticking out of its eye sockets, and is very tall.
