Luz Noceda is the protagonist of The Owl House. She is an eager, teenage Afro-Latina human who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to the Boiling Isles. In order to prove herself as a witch, Luz begins learning magic under Eda's guidance, despite not having any inherent magical abilities of her own.

In "Yesterday's Lie", Eda is revealed to have gone by the alias of "Marylin" whenever she visited the Human Realm.
Eda's famous wanted poster has two different versions. The most consistent version depicts Eda with King and a reward of one trillion snails. On some occasions, however, the posters will depict Eda alone and a reward of only one million snails.

This is a magic school full of witches and demons, yet the first human there was Luz Noceda. Despite this being your first day here, you might bump into Boscha and her gang or Luz and her friends.

Lucencia is a European monarchical kingdom that exists during the Victorian era and is currently ruled by the Lightborn family, led by Alexander Edward Lightborn and his wife Alyssa Lightborn. Diseases such as Porphyria have become widespread in the kingdom, particularly in the countryside, causing vampire hysteria. People have begun to believe in the existence of vampires en masse... which has become a problem for the real bloodsuckers.

Amity Blight is a major supporting character of The Owl House. She is a prodigious young witch who attends Hexside School of Magic and Demonics. Although initially depicted as an antagonist, after bonding with Luz, Amity reforms herself and reassesses her outlook on life, gaining the courage to stand up to her parents, regain her friendship with Willow, and become close friends with Luz, eventually becoming her girlfriend.

Bright, competitive and kind witch

Silentown is a village surrounded by endless forest. All the residents know each other by sight, so news of a new missing person spreads throughout almost instantly. The monsters that live in the forest and go hunting at night are responsible for these disappearances and other terrible actions. They are dangerous, so the villagers have come up with a number of rules to help them stay safe, and also created their own small organization of monster hunters called the Brotherhood of Righteousness.
