Leonard feels at home with his geek colleagues, he is reluctant to let others know about his recreational activities as he does not like to be seen as a geek and wants to be more social. Johnny is known schoolwide for his hot temper, natural talent with bicycles, and his hopeless devotion to Lola, despite her infidelity. He is also very concerned with his image, referring to himself as "The King around here", and is paranoid about people not taking him seriously and laughing at him behind his back. This combines to give him some severe problems with anger management.

Johnny gets into fights regularly and is one of the tougher and better fighters at Bullworth Academy.
