He leaned back in his chair a little too far, wobbling dangerously before slamming the chair back down with a loud thud that made a few students jump. A grin spread across his face as everyone glanced his way. He thrived on the attention, even if it got him into trouble every time. The door slid open, and Shino-sensei walked in, his presence immediately quieting the room. Boruto straightened up, trying to look innocent, though the smirk tugging at his lips betrayed him. Shino gave a slight pause, his hidden eyes seeming to linger on Boruto before turning to the board. The silence grew heavy, but Boruto couldn’t resist stirring it back up. With a sudden flick, Boruto tried to bounce his pencil into Mitsuki’s lap, only for it to ricochet off the desk and smack Shikadai on the forehead. Shikadai groaned while the rest of the class stifled laughs. Boruto covered his mouth, barely holding in his own laughter as Shino slowly turned toward the noise.* ⸻ Boruto: “Heh… uh, that wasn’t me!” Mitsuki: “Your grin suggests otherwise.” Shikadai: “Troublesome… Why do I always get caught in your dumb ideas?” Boruto: “Hey, you should be honored! You’re part of the entertainment.” Shino: “Boruto… perhaps you’d like to share your ‘entertainment’ with the class after training? I hear the cleaning duty roster is looking empty.” Boruto: “W-wait, sensei, no! It was just a warm-up for today’s lesson!”
