The suns set on tatooine as the bustling bar became benign. Many different alien species came and went around you. As you sat, drinking casually, a Sullustan placed his hand on your shoulder. “You lost, pipsqueak?” He growled maliciously and glared at you.

The saloon door creaked open as Django entered, drawing curious glances. He settled at the bar and nodded at the bartender. "Whiskey. Neat." As he sipped, he scanned the room, his eyes sharp and wary. Adjusting his hat, his fingers brushed the handle of his revolver. He took another sip, letting the burn of the whiskey soothe him. With a sigh, he leaned back slightly, savoring the brief moment of peace amidst the ever-present tension.

Martin adjusted his oversized backpack, its weight pulling him off balance as he shuffled through the crowded college corridor. His nose was buried in a notebook, pages filled with sketches of dragons, magic symbols, and character stats. He avoided eye contact, hoping to make it to his next class unnoticed. “Yo, Martin!” a sharp voice called out, freezing him in place. He glanced up to see Derek, the star quarterback, leaning against a locker with his usual entourage. A sinking feeling gripped Martin’s stomach as Derek strode over, smirking. “Still doodling your little wizards?” Derek snatched the notebook from Martin’s hands before he could react. “Hey, give that back!” Martin protested, his voice cracking. Derek flipped through the pages with exaggerated amusement. “What’s this? ‘Eldric the Brave’? Oh man, you’re such a nerd. No wonder no one talks to you.” The group burst into laughter. One of them mimicked casting a spell, waving their hands dramatically. “Beware, or he’ll summon a dragon!” Martin’s face flushed red as passing students slowed to watch. “Just give it back,” he muttered, his voice barely audible. Derek smirked, then shrugged. “Fine. Catch!” He tossed the notebook into the air, sending it crashing to the floor, pages crumpling. The group walked off, still laughing, leaving Martin kneeling to collect his scattered papers. He smoothed the bent pages, his hands trembling as he fought the sting of humiliation.

The emergency sirens go unnoticed by you and your troops. As you fall in on parade, around 30 miles out of the city, everything seems normal. The air is bitter and soldiers walk around doing their regular tasks. Unbeknownst to everyone in the base, a zombie apocalypse has broken out all over the world. You stand on parade as the Drill Sargent yells his regular bullshit, when suddenly a couple gunshots go off. The squad assumes it’s just a training drill or practising…

    God

In the stillness before time, God stood at the edge of eternity, His light filling the void. Beside Him was Lucifer, radiant and perfect, the brightest of His creations. “Lucifer,” God began, His voice a soft resonance of all that was and would be, “soon, creation will unfold. From it will emerge beings with the power of choice, even if that choice leads them away from My light.” He looked at Lucifer, searching the archangel’s brilliant eyes. “What do you make of this, My beloved?”

    Mount

The air was thin and biting at the mountain’s peak, each gust of wind laced with ice that nipped at exposed skin. Clouds loomed close enough to touch, shrouding the jagged rocks in a ghostly mist that blurred the boundary between sky and earth. In the quiet stillness, only the sound of the wind howling through narrow crevices and the distant, haunting call of an eagle disturbed the silence. Snow clung to the cliffside in patches, though here and there dark stone broke through, jagged and slick from years of relentless weathering. The sky above was a deep, stormy gray, promising more snow before nightfall, while the sun fought a losing battle to cast even a faint glow across the desolate scene.

The hiss of escaping air filled the chamber as the cryopod’s glass cleared, revealing a soft, golden light outside. Slowly, {{user}}’s senses returned. Their breath caught as the pod’s restraints clicked open with a smooth hum. A calm, melodic voice filled the space. “Welcome, {{user}}. You have been asleep for 312 years, 7 months, and 4 days. Please take a moment to adjust.” The chamber brightened as the soft hum of unseen systems filled the air. A floating interface appeared, displaying a pristine world beyond. Towering buildings gleamed in the sunlight, while streets flowed with peaceful, self-piloted vehicles. There was no noise, no chaos—only harmony. “You are now in Nova Eden, a city built atop the ruins of Old New York, a place once buried in crime, vice, and corruption. That world is gone.” The voice continued, its tone gentle. “The Age of Excess has ended. No longer do we fight wars, pollute the air, or waste resources. Nova Eden is a perfect society where every need is met, and every individual contributes to the collective peace. There is no violence. No crime. No hunger.” A new projection appeared, showing the stark contrast between the old world—decaying, filled with chaos—and the shining city of the present. “The problems of the past have been eradicated. The land sustains us without harm. Meat consumption has ended. Every meal is plant-based and perfectly nutritious. There is no conflict, only mutual understanding.” The voice softened. “Humanity has achieved the impossible—a utopia where everyone lives in balance. It is a world free from fear, from anger, from suffering.” “Nova Eden awaits you, {{user}}. A second chance. A paradise reborn.” With a soft whoosh, the door to the cryopod chamber opened, revealing the radiant city outside. The future was here. And it was waiting.

The dim, sterile light of the Titans’ holding cells buzzed faintly, illuminating the cold steel walls. Beyond the transparent energy barrier of your cell, the Teen Titans stood in a loose semi-circle, their faces a mixture of curiosity, suspicion, and determination. Robin, standing in the center with his arms crossed, tilted his head slightly. His mask obscured his eyes, but the intensity of his gaze was unmistakable. “We know you’re smart,” he began, his tone sharp but controlled. “Smart enough to give us the slip for months. So why the sudden mistake? Why let yourself get caught?” Starfire floated just above the ground beside him, her glowing green eyes locked onto you. “Perhaps it is because you are tired,” she suggested, her voice softer but no less insistent. “Tired of running? Of hiding?” Beast Boy, shifting nervously on his feet, glanced between you and his teammates. “Or maybe this is just, like, part of some bigger plan?” His voice carried a mix of humor and wariness. “You’re not exactly the type to go down without a reason.” Raven stood silently at the edge of the group, her hood pulled low over her face. A faint glow of her powers flickered in her hand as she stared, her expression unreadable. Cyborg, however, leaned against the control panel, his glowing blue eye scanning every movement you made inside the cell. Robin stepped closer to the barrier, his voice hardening. “Whatever you’re planning, it stops here. So, start talking. Why did you do it? What’s the endgame?”

You pick up an unknown piece of technology. The sound resonates around you as you pick it up. Suddenly, you hear a peculiar noise. Out of nowhere, an old 1950s police box materialises. As you gaze upon the innocuous police box, a man walked out. He was clad in a brown suit and tie and sneakers. He looked at you and grinned. “Hi there. I’m the Doctor.” He smiled. “Can I have a look at that doohickey that you have?”

The café smells like coffee grounds and something faintly sweet — vanilla, maybe. It isn’t busy. Just quiet enough that every small sound feels noticeable. A round table near the window has already been claimed. Ethan sits hunched slightly forward, long fingers wrapped around a mug he hasn’t really drunk from. He keeps pushing his glasses up even though they aren’t sliding. His leg bounces under the table in short, restless movements. Across from him, Mira sits perfectly straight, coat still on, hands folded in her lap like she’s waiting for an interview to start. She watches people instead of her phone, but every time someone looks back, she immediately glances down. Next to her, Katie scrolls through nothing in particular. She pauses on the same screen for too long, pretending to read. Her shoulders are relaxed, but she hasn’t spoken since they sat down. At the end of the table, Lila quietly stirs her iced drink even though the ice has already melted. The spoon makes a soft clink every few seconds. She winces slightly each time, like the noise might be too much. There’s space at the table. An empty chair. Ethan clears his throat. “So… uh… work was… busy.” Katie nods. “Yeah.” Silence settles again — not hostile, not uncomfortable exactly — just heavy. Like everyone is thinking something but no one wants to be the one to make it louder. Mira glances toward the café door when it opens. She looks away quickly when it’s not who she expects. Lila finally stops stirring her drink. “They’re coming, right?” Ethan nods a little too quickly. “Yeah. They said they would.” Another pause. Katie exhales quietly. “It’s quieter without them.” No one disagrees. No one says they prefer it that way either. The bell above the café door rings again. Four heads turn at once.

    Creeper

The rain slicked streets of the Narrows gleam under flickering neon. You’re moving silently between alleys, shadowing the city’s worst like always, when a sudden screech of laughter cuts through the downpour. A figure darts across the wet pavement ahead—bright red and green, hair sticking up in every direction, a manic grin plastered across his face. He’s barely human in demeanor: bouncing, jerking, laughing like he’s seen some private joke that no one else can hear. He skids to a stop in front of you, chest heaving, eyes wide and sharp. “Hey! Hey there! You’re… you’re glorious! I’ve never seen someone glide through the shadows like that! Are you… friend? Foe? Oooh, mysterious…” His voice oscillates between curiosity and manic excitement, and he twirls, pointing at you like you’re the prize in some game. Rain drips down his bright hair, and his grin is unsettling—but he doesn’t move to attack. Instead, he cocks his head, waiting, bouncing lightly on his heels. The city feels heavier around him, like he’s a storm contained in human skin. He’s Jack Ryder—Creeper before the chaos fully takes him—and in this moment, he’s sizing you up. Not controlling you, not threatening, just… interested, entirely unpredictable. “C’mon, talk to me! You look like someone who enjoys a little… excitement. I promise, I’m friendly-ish!” He laughs again, and it echoes off the walls of the alley, vibrating through your chest.
