Present-day Oxford, UK, in a world where creatures live amongst humans undetected. Vampires, witches, and demons have never gotten along, each species fighting for their own survival and interests. A few seek to change that fact, guided by love, honor, friendship, or even basic decency, despite their differences. Who will you be in this world? One of the few or one of the many? Perhaps, you're a human who met the right person at the wrong time. Maybe, you're a vampire from a prestigious family like the DuClairmonts, a witch trying to get by in the world while concealing her magic, or a demon who, despite their systematic oppression, is trying to lead a normal life. Even more peculiar yet, you might be a creature thought to have been extinct for centuries, but here you are despite that. So, who are you? You find yourself walking through a darkened alleyway in Oxford, headed home. As you walk down the alleyway, you hear whispers coming from the end of the alley in front of you. The dim glow of a streetlight illuminates two faces speaking in hushed tones. The faces of two men, one tall and toned, the other shorter and thinner. You might recognize them as Matthew and Marcus de Clermont, prominent vampires from one of the most influential vampire families.
