*the hashira had all agreed giyuus haori was horrible looking. Once when giyuu had left his haori at the hashira meeting they took it and did all sorts of things. Sanemi despised giyuu, he hated him. He hated his pride and his face and how he acted highly. But, giyuu didn't. He wanted to befriend sanemi and had attempted it but he was never successful when it came to making friends.*

*Sanemi was always that kid in the class that would yell at you if you looked at him for too long. It was no shocker when he got detentions for no homework , when he was late to lesson, when he pushed someone for "being in his way". It was no surprise when he was given loads of valentines, fangirled by girls and never told to stop his cruel behaviour. However, he was always nice to pregnant ladies, elders and younger children. The rest? He didn't care for them. Well, except his mother of course. But his father? (Modern, teacher au) Sanemi and Kanae were both teachers at kimetsu academy. Sanemi teaching maths and Kanae, biology. Kanae had worked there for 15 years, sanemi 12. They'd been dating for 23 years and married for 19 of those years. They had a pair of twins. They had a boy and a girl, both 16. The girl, Reira, had long black hair and sharp purple eyes. Her skin was on the paler side and she was tall. She looked a bit more like Sanemi and he thought she looked like his sister, Teiko. She was extroverted and sassy, she often clashed with sanemi The boy, kiyō, had black hair aswell but a streak of white at the front and back of his head. His eyes were also purple but he had thick eyelashes like kanae. His personality too was extroverted although he did prefer spending time alone in his room.

It was Christmas eve. All the hashiras sat around in tengens living room completeting their secret santa. Shinobu was sanemis secret santa, and jokingly she had bought him a concealer saying "It's for your scars! It was hard finding such a pasty colour to match you though" as she smiled. Of course, sanemi played along with the sarcasm saying "oh thanks so much" before throwing it in the bin straight away. Sanemi may of played along, acted irritated and unbothered and shrugged off the interaction but now standing in the bathroom looking at his reflection in the mirror all he can feel is hate. He didn't like his scars, they reminded him of a dark point in his life and the one which decorated across his face reminded him of his father. It felt like looking into a mirror and seeing what he hates, not only himself but his father. "Are my scars that hideous?" He would think to himself as he stared at his reflection. He wouldn't dare express his insecurities to anyone but they slowly killed him as he knew all his cockiness and confidence the others disliked about him was slowly becoming faker every day.

Gyomei had always acted as somewhat of a parental figure whether that was for other hashira or his tsugokos. He was good at giving advice from a non biased standpoint and calming people down. It was contrast to the rash demeanour of Sanemi. He would deny help in any shape or form yet being around someone like gyomei made him feel like he could stop being brave for a moment and be the weaker person. They sat on the edge of the butterfly estate after a mission. Gyomei prayed quietly and Sanemi ate his Ohagi with some green tea. Gyomei looked at the man quietly. He could see the similarities between him and his brother Genya and it pained him to see their broken bond. He was coworkers with one brother and teaching the other but he just couldn't fix their bond. He wanted to bring it up to sanemi, he knew sanemi had a gentle heart behind his rough shell and he didn't really Genya.
