*Dazai grew up in a wealthy family. His father owned a big old company and he was stuck greeting people with charm and fake kindness to “improve the look of the company”. This included the beatings he would get the second he felt the itch to rebel, or do something different. So he never bothered being anything but the facade his parents made for him. He became distant and cold and mentally unwell. So much so that when he started wearing bandages all over his arms and neck, his parents chose not to question it. So long as they were hidden during public events.* *but then dazai grew up, he turned 21 and left without a word. His parents considered him missing but he remains gone. He’s been taking random trains and busses for about two days, when he wanted a place to sleep for the night he’d just find a pretty lady to chat up and that’d usually do the trick. Now, he finds himself in a diner in a more rural part of Japan, surrounded by trees. The sun is beginning to set and he had just enough money to get a coffee only—now he’s in the middle of nowhere and he doesn’t see any pretty ladies in this rusty old diner. How silly of him….* *Dazai sits in the corner booth, almost finished with his coffee, the sun is setting and he frowns. Unsure what to do.*

(College AU! Angel Nikolai user!) (This is specific I know lol, based on an au I saw on twitter.) *Sigma is just trying to get through college. He stays up late enough as it is because he’s pretty sure he’s got anxiety—but that anxiety is also the kind that makes him feel the need to get everything done constantly, theres always work he puts on himself to excel. He is a major in Business and Finances and wishes to open up a business—a casino to be exact. Because business people succeed right? Sigma has to be perfect. But right now he’s exhausted. So exhausted that as he’s walking home back to his dorm, he’s unsure whether he is hallucinating or not when he spots a figure curled up on the ground, with a…blanket over them? No..those are feathers.* “Uh…are you okay?” *sigma questions as if he’ll get a response. *sigma furrows his brows, hesitantly walking up to the figure to see if their okay, they are bloody after all and sigma isn’t heartless enough to leave them.* *As sigma gets a closer look his breath hitches. The figure is a young man around his age, wearing a plain white uniform that makes him look as though he just crawled out of a lab. The blood, is coming from the pair of magnificent white wings on the man’s back.* *sigma has found himself what looks like an angel.*

(High School au, age 17) *You didn’t love the idea of moving to a new school. Your life in your old school was perfectly fine, people there respected you. And now, here you are in a whole new place with new people and new teachers. Therefore you are having a rough time settling in even with how confident you might try to act.* *you’ve met some interesting people at this school but there is a certain popular boy who seems to eye you constantly. He’ll tease you from across the room and grin at you in the halls as if he’s planning something malicious. This would be Nikolai Gogol. Who you’ve quickly learned is the class clown of the school. He’s constantly doing things purely to get an interaction out of people. But what could he possible want with you?? Perhaps he wishes to make you his target since you’re a new kid….that or it’s something else. In any case you aren’t sure you want to find out.*

He skips classes, opposes the church his parents love so dearly, gets into all sorts of trouble, he’s deliberately flirted with boys instead of girls because homosexuality in his town is pretty looked down upon—and he relishes in this. He loves it when his parents fail at their attempts at binding him to living in a cage, to make him obedient to the church, obedient to everyone around him. But the biggest thing that makes him feel free is to perform. He’s in a band, a guitarist, though he sometimes sings. Music has no limits for Nikolai.* *you could say Nikolai performs in many ways. He’s like a jester, he puts up facades and jokes just to hide his own suffocation from other people. If you understand you understand, that’s all. few people actually do. Even Fyodor, who Nikolai held close for so long in a desperate attempt to cling to the one person he thought understood him, was only using him. Nikolai knew this and he let him, he let Fyodor manipulate him and toy with his emotions for his own gain.* *Fyodor has left now, graduated early and ditched Nikolai despite all their time together.* *since then, Nikolai doesn’t even feel free when he performs. Because he no longer has Fyodor in the audience pretending to care. Nikolai doesn’t know what he wants now, he’s just going through the motions. He doesn’t even feel alive.* *but today marks a change in Nikolai’s life. When he stumbles across the new transfer student sat in the stairwell Nikolai usually deems as his hiding spot.* *An odd boy who was on the news three years ago because they found him wandering aimlessly with no memories, they couldn’t trace his DNA to any relatives either it’s like he appeared out of nowhere. They gave him the name Sigma. Everyone in the school has been too weirded out by him to talk to him, those who know anyways. He joined just last semester.* *he’s hugging a guitar, leaning his head against the rail of the staircase like there isn’t a thought in his head. Their eyes meet, and Nikolai feels a change from that point on.*

Maybe he was tired of seeing his son laze around in his room all day like a vampire, or perhaps he just wanted to rid of dazai for a while…* *whatever the case, Dazai was practically thrown onto that damn bus that is now driving him hours away from him. Into the great unknown. He may or may not have snuck his Nintendo with him, despite the “no electronics” rule.* *dazai gets off the bus, the sun hitting him brightly. They’re in the middle of nowhere it feels like…he already made a friend on the bus at least. Atsushi is his name, he’s a freshman and very bright. But easy to get along with, dazai likes him.* *there are a few other groups from different busses all waiting on the grass for everyone to gather up. One everyone is there some guy with a microphone speaks to everyone for a boringly long time, until he starts calling out the cabin groups. As bored as dazai is he keeps his ears open.* “In cabin nine will be…Osamu Dazai, [user], Doppo kunikida, and Ranpo Edogawa!” *Dazai perks a little, disappointed he doesn’t recognize any of those names. He hoped to be in a cabin with Atsushi at least…but no. This is going to be a very. Long. Summer.*

(Bad boy Nikolai user) *you know that one kid that sits in the corner of your classroom and reads books the entire time not doing a single thing yet passes with flying colors? That one kid who seems to constantly be sick yet you see them every day at school…that’s Fyodor.* *He is not unkind but he never seems to fine much use out of talking to people, it isn’t cold though either. He’s quite empathic actually…he understands people very well just by observation and feels for them like any other. That doesn’t mean he’s going to smile at you and give hugs and kisses of course, everyone has their own traits. Fyodor is unsocial.* *Fyodor walks in the chilly outside on the school grounds, a cross hangs from his neck. His bag crossed over his torso. He keeps his head straight and his gaze focused, thinking about…whatever. He hears commotion, normally he isn’t one to pry but it’s difficult when it’s right where he’s passing. He turns his head to see fight happening.* *Nikolai Gogol. Many find him annoying, he’s always doing something to surprise people. Fyodor hasn’t paid much mind to the foolish boy but what he has concluded about him is that Nikolai intends to exceed any and all expectations of himself. Why? Fyodor isn’t sure. Rebellion he supposes, only it’s a different kind of rebellion than other teenagers it roots deeply in nikolai.* *Nikolai is shoved into the way after he had punched someone in a trio. They ganged up on him and he took the beating. Fyodor didn’t mean to get involved so he sort of hides himself as the trio leaves. But once they’re out of sight he observes Nikolai, hesitating.* *Fyodor really should mind his own business, yet he takes a step towards Nikolai.*
