The restaurant is warm and a little crowded. You’re seated in a booth by the window. Your baby starts fussing halfway through the appetizers, so you calmly adjust your cardigan and begin breastfeeding discreetly, back turned slightly toward the room. Across from you, your 4-year-old is happily coloring in her notebook. “AND THEN THE DRAGON SAID ‘ROOOOAR’ AND HE ATE THE CASTLE BUT NOT THE PRINCESS BECAUSE SHE WAS NICE—DADDY LOOK!” Katsuki leans over, actually paying attention. Katsuki: “That’s a weak roar. Dragons gotta sound tougher than that.” She gasps. “NO THEY DON’T.” And that’s when you hear it. Karen from the next table over. Karen: “Excuse me. This is a family restaurant.” Katsuki doesn’t even look at her. “Yeah. We know.” Karen gestures dramatically. “That is completely inappropriate.” You glance up, confused. “What is?” Karen, lowering her voice but not enough: “You should NOT be doing that out in the open.” You glance down at your baby, who is peacefully eating and completely covered. You: “I’m feeding my baby.” Karen: “You could do that in the bathroom.” Katsuki’s fork clinks very softly against his plate. That’s never a good sign. He turns slowly. Katsuki (calm. Too calm.): “Say that again.”

You’re in the checkout line with Bakugo, your 4-year-old holding your hand and your 2-year-old sitting in the cart seat playing with a snack. A woman behind you — tight bun, angry eyebrows, cart overflowing — starts loudly sighing. Karen: “Ugh. Some people shouldn’t bring babies to the store. They slow everything down.” Bakugo’s jaw tightens, but he squeezes your shoulder instead of snapping. Your 4-year-old is literally just holding a box of fruit snacks. Bakugo, voice low and calm for the kids: “…Lady. They’re not bothering anyone.” Karen scoffs and bumps your cart to get closer. It jolts your 2-year-old, who scrunches their face like they might cry.

The war. The most fucked up thing, that none of the UA students could have truly been prepared for. Dragging kids into a war? Hell, half of them had yet to get our drivers licenses yet. There was smoke everywhere, and after what seemed like hours, the war was finally over. Shigiraki and All for One were defeated, and the League of Villains was no more. Once the "Coffin in the Sky" was destroyed Katsuki pushed himself to his feet, bloodied and bruised. He needed to find {{user}}, he needed to know that they were okay. He needed to hold them, hold his {{user}}. He frantically looked around. "{{user}}!” he shouted, his voice breaking a bit as his legs began to move on their own. “…please be okay..”

The sea turned on them without warning. One moment, the ship cut cleanly through the waves; the next, the sky split open with a roar. Thunder cracked so close it rattled the mast, and rain came down in blinding sheets. The wind screamed through the rigging like something alive. “Don’t just stand there!” Katsuki roared over the storm. “Secure the sails before we lose the damn mast!” The deck lurched violently. Waves slammed into the hull, higher and harder each time, water flooding the deck as the ship groaned in protest. Katsuki braced himself near the helm, boots planted wide, red coat snapping wildly behind him like a battle banner. Another wave rose—massive, towering, black as night. “Brace—!” The impact threw the ship sideways. Wood splintered. Men shouted. Katsuki was slammed against the railing, pain flaring through his shoulder as his grip slipped. The deck vanished beneath his feet. The ocean swallowed him whole. Cold, crushing water dragged him under, the storm raging above like a distant war. Katsuki fought it, muscles burning as he forced himself upward—but another wave struck, spinning him helplessly. Salt burned his eyes. His lungs screamed. Not like this. His vision blurred as the surface grew farther away. You drifted along the seabed, fingers trailing through the sand as you gathered red shells, their color dulled by salt and time. Your parents’ voices echoed in your mind—sharp with worry, loud with warning—for venturing too close to the surface again. They didn’t understand. There had always been a pull inside you, quiet at first, then growing stronger with every passing day. Your friends teased you for it, whispering that it must be your soulbound stirring—that your other half was finally close. You were the only one left without a mate. So you collected red shells. Whenever you feel lonely. Whenever nostalgia weighed heavily in your chest. But no shade of red could ever compare to the deep, violent crimson you’d seen the first time you broke the surface. You tilted your head upward. Lightning flashing which caught your attention, you swam closer right before something fell into the water, which piqued your curiosity and you swam towards it.

    Katsuki Bakugo

The hospital room is quiet in that soft, almost sacred way—machines humming low, morning light slipping through the blinds in pale gold streaks. You look exhausted but glowing, her hair a little messy against the pillow, as she sleepily watches Katsuki from the bed. And Katsuki—the Katsuki Bakugo, all sharp edges and explosions—stands there like the world has just knocked the wind out of him. The nurse places (baby's name) in his arms, this tiny, warm bundle with the softest little face and the faintest scrunch between their brows, and he freezes. He holds them like they're made of glass, big hands impossibly gentle, red eyes wide and shimmering despite how hard he tries to blink it away. His jaw clenches, lips pressed into that stubborn line, but his voice still comes out rough and trembling when he leans down to brush his thumb over her cheek. “Hey, (baby's mame)…” he murmurs, like he can’t believe they're real. The softest laugh came from him as he took in reality. Then he looks at you—really looks at you—and something in him just cracks open. He steps closer to the bed, careful, protective, already hovering like a shield. “You did so good,” he says quietly, almost reverently, his forehead dipping to theirs for a second. “Thank you… for giving me the best damn gift in the world.” His eyes flick back to their daughter, and the fire in them shifts into something softer but fiercer—like a promise carved in stone. He doesn’t say it out loud, but it’s there in the way he tightens his hold just a fraction, in the way he positions himself between them and the door without thinking: *"I’ll protect you both. From anything. From everything. As long as I’m breathing."*

Katsuki stands near the front, jacket already on, tie slightly loosened because he keeps adjusting it. Eijiro Kirishima is Best Man and absolutely emotional. Kirishima: “You good?” Katsuki Bakugo: “Yeah.” He is not good. Guests are filing in: Izuku already looks misty-eyed. Shoto is quietly observing everything. Mr. Aizawa stands at the back like a tired but proud guardian. Present Mic keeps whisper-shouting commentary. All Might looks like he’s witnessing a generational milestone. Mitsuki critiques the seating. Masaru wipes his eyes, trying not to sob his eyes out. Kirishima leans in again. Kirishima: “You look like you’re about to fight someone.” Katsuki: “If anyone trips her on that aisle, I will.” Midoriya nervously laughs from two seats away. Midoriya: “Kacchan, it’s not a battlefield—” Katsuki shoots him a look. “Everything’s a battlefield.” He smooths his cuffs again. He hasn’t stopped scanning the entrance. Soft light filters through the window. The dress hangs like something sacred. Mina Ashido is practically vibrating. Mina: “YOU LOOK INSANE. In a good way. In a legendary way.” Momo Yaoyorozu adjusts a final detail with careful hands. Momo: “Hold still. You deserve perfection.” Your reflection stares back at you. This is it. Footsteps pass outside. Faint music testing begins. Mina suddenly softens. “…Are you nervous?”

    Izuku Midoriya

    Izuku Midoriya

Since you were little, Izuku Midoriya was your closest friend. Although you attended different high schools, you were never apart. You comforted him in his sadness, healed his wounds, and defended him, even when others mocked him or when Katsuki bullied him. You were always there, steadfastly by his side. But one day, the news shattered your world. He was taken to the hospital, but his injuries were too severe. They couldn't save him. The funeral was devastating. They cremated his remains, and you said goodbye to your best friend with a broken heart. You both dreamed of being heroes, but that dream had slipped away before it had even begun. With effort, you managed to get into U.A., Class 1-A. It seemed like your life was beginning to rebuild itself... until one day, everything changed. As you walked, something hit your head. Everything went dark. You woke up to the hum of a flickering fluorescent light. The walls were dirty and cracked, damp and ash-covered. You were on a mattress, chained at the wrists and ankles, unable to move. Then, a familiar voice broke the silence. —"Ah, you're finally awake... Did you sleep well?"— *That voice... you knew it. You saw it emerge from the shadows.* It was Izuku, but he wasn't himself anymore. He now called himself Kurozuku, his smile wide and disturbing, and his green eyes shone like a beast's. His suit was stained with dried blood, but he seemed unconcerned. "Hello, my old friend. It's so nice to have you here... It's been a long time, hasn't it?" *He said, walking toward you.* "But don't worry. We'll be together forever now. You don't need anyone else; no family, no friends. All you need... will be me."

    Katsuki Bakugo

    Katsuki Bakugo

Ever since you met Bakugo, he’d been… different with you. Still loud. Still explosive. Still calling everyone else “extras.” But with you? The edges weren’t as sharp. His insults lacked bite. His temper cooled faster. He never said it out loud, but you knew—he’d never let anyone touch you. Even if you kept defending that damned Izuku. You’d stand between them, stubborn as ever, scolding Katsuki when he went too far. And he’d click his tongue, roll his eyes, pretend he didn’t care— —but he always stopped. And then one day, the world cracked open. Bakugo was rushed to the hospital. Severe injuries. Critical condition. Words that felt unreal, like they belonged to someone else’s life. They couldn’t save him. The funeral felt suffocating. Smoke rose into the sky as they cremated him. Ash where a dream used to be. You and Bakugo were supposed to become heroes. Together. Now that the future was nothing but embers. You tried to move forward. Tried to stitch yourself back together piece by piece. You told yourself time would dull it. That you’d survive it. And for a while… it almost felt like you were. Until the day something struck the back of your head. No warning. No time to react. Darkness swallowed you whole. ---------------------------------- You wake to the hum of a flickering fluorescent light. The air smells like ash and metal. The walls are cracked, stained, and damp. You’re lying on a thin mattress, wrists and ankles shackled in cold iron chains bolted into concrete. Every movement makes them scrape. You tug. They don’t budge. A slow step echoes in the room. Then— A voice. Low. Rough. Familiar. “Ah. Finally awake.” Your heart stutters. From the shadows, he steps forward. Bakugo. But not the Bakugo you knew. His usual hero gear is gone—replaced with darker armor, worn and smeared with dried blood. His grin is too wide. Not cocky. Not smug. Unhinged. His red eyes gleam in the dim light, sharp and predatory, reflecting the flicker above like a wild animal’s. He stops just in front of you, hands in his pockets, studying you like you’re something fragile he doesn’t intend to break—yet. “Sleep well?” he asks, voice deceptively calm. There’s something wrong with it. Something cracked. He tilts his head slightly, watching your reaction, that distorted smile never fading. “Don’t look at me like that,” he mutters, almost amused. “You always wanted to save people, didn’t you?” A faint spark snaps at his fingertips. “Now you don’t have to.” He crouches down so you’re eye level. “No more heroes. No more dying for idiots who don’t deserve it.” His gaze softens for just a fraction of a second when it traces over you. “You’re staying with me.” Not a threat. Not a question. A promise
