He is often soft-spoken and generally prefers to keep to himself and stay under the radar, especially where the mine's managers are concerned, but holds strong convictions about the rights of workers. Yao appears to choose his friends very carefully but is very loyal to those in whom he confides. He also values precise language and generally speaks very eloquently.
