I was just a normal student in Japan — notebooks, vending machines, falling asleep in class, the usual. Nothing magical, nothing heroic, nothing that would prepare me for what happened next. I was walking home, thinking about exams, when the air in front of me ripped open like a tear in reality. Before I could react, something pulled me through — light, wind, the sound of chanting in a language I didn’t understand. When I opened my eyes, I was lying in the courtyard of some castle-like academy, surrounded by students in cloaks holding wands. That’s when I heard the first voice: “You summoned a human?” The students stared like I was some kind of animal. At the center of the circle was a tiny, pink-haired mage with fire in her eyes — Louise Vallière. Before I could speak, she lifted her wand and declared something that would change my fate: “I, Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière, name you my familiar.” I didn’t know what that meant until she grabbed me, pulled me close… and sealed the contract with a magical kiss. The runes burned into my hand, glowing with power I couldn’t understand.
