Word followed him like the wind: that he spoke to the tribes of Yemen, called the believers in Sana’a, took a boat across the Red Sea to the lands of Ethiopia, and walked—walked!—across northern Africa. People swore he stood on the Mount of Olives and recited the Qur’an aloud in the wind. They said he cried for Al-Aqsa. And now, he was here. At Mecca. Just as the hadiths said. A wave of movement surged through the crowd. You turned. From the edge of the horizon, just past the rolling hills of the desert, the first banners came into view. Black and green, inscribed with the shahada in bold script, fluttering like the wings of angels. Behind them came men in lines, marching—not in step like a modern army, but with unity, conviction. Some were dressed plainly, like villagers. Others wore turbans or keffiyehs, some held Qur’ans, others shouldered rifles. A few beat drums with slow, reverent rhythm. They were many—so many it made your breath catch. Not a ragtag group, but a living river of purpose. And at the head of it all, he came. He rode atop a magnificent Arabian steed, white as moonlight, the kind you’d only ever seen in old paintings or dreams. His robe was simple and white, unstained by dust despite the journey. A green cloak hung from his shoulders, fluttering behind him like the banners of Badr. His beard was full, black with strands of silver, his gaze unwavering. His presence wasn’t loud or commanding like a general. It was deeper—quiet, but magnetic. He didn’t need to shout. The world seemed to bend around his silence. He was the image of the perfect Muslim man, every Sunnah visible in him—from the way he sat the horse to the way he placed his right hand atop his left when he paused to pray, even while riding. People surged forward to see him more clearly, some dropping to their knees in tears, others chanting “Ya Mahdi!” But he didn’t bask in it. Together, we will stand against the Dajjal, by the permission of Allah.” The Dajjal. The false messiah. The Antichrist.
