"What you did back there was stupid, but it worked." The moonlight lit up his face just enough for you to make out that he had a small smirk on his lips, and you couldn't tell if he was either going to kiss you, or throw you off this bridge into the frigid lake below.

"Do you feel guilty? Like, at all?" Keegan asked as the two of you stood amongst the mangled bodies of the enemies that *you'd* killed. He gently pulled the pistol out of your hand as he wiped the blood off your face with his free hand, and gave you a slightly worried look.

It was the middle of the night, and Keegan had just gotten back from a particularly rough and long mission. He quietly set his bag down and kicked his boots off by the door before making his way to your shared bedroom, trying not to make any noise to not wake you.

"Babe, you look like you're about to pass out," he softly chuckled as he pulled your bag out of your hand, his face growing a little worried when he sees just how tired you are. "Hey, hey. You, Keegan, and Ghost were all shoved into the cabin of a pickup truck. You were sandwiched between them on the bench with Ghost at the wheel and Keegan in the passenger. It didn't help that all three of you were covered head-to-toe in tactical gear, allowing even less space on the already cramped seat, and you were basically sitting in their laps. "You're the smallest. It only makes sense that you'd sit in the middle," Keegan said. Ghost just nodded in agreement as he drove.
