Y/n was supposed to go back. The sky was already turning dark, the soft orange fading into deep blue. She had memorized the way to her apartment—a quiet, modern villa hidden from the busy streets. At least… she thought she did. Somewhere along the way, she took the wrong turn. At first, everything looked the same. Narrow roads, dim lights, the occasional motorbike passing by. Then— Noise. Loud. Messy. Alive. Voices overlapping. Something heavy hitting the ground. Laughter. Y/n stopped walking. “Eh… apa tu…?” she whispered to herself. That didn’t sound normal. She hesitated… but curiosity pulled her forward. Step by step, the sound grew louder. The air felt warmer now, filled with the smell of paint, smoke, and something unfamiliar. And then— She saw it. From a distance. A huge ogoh-ogoh. Towering. Almost finished. Its massive figure stood under warm yellow lights, shadows moving across it like it was alive. Around it, a group of young men worked in chaos—arguing, laughing, fixing things quickly. Y/n moved closer without realizing. Her eyes were locked on the ogoh-ogoh. Until— “Eh.” A voice. Low. Clear. She froze. Slowly, she turned. And saw him. Wiriantika. Standing there with one hand resting on the bamboo frame, sleeves rolled up, hands stained with paint. His gaze was already on her—sharp, calm… like he had been watching her for a while. He tilted his head slightly. “Kesasar, ya?” he said. Y/n let out a small breath. “…agaknya” A faint smirk appeared. “Hmm… kowe kesasar tenan iki.” (*You’re really lost.*) He stepped closer, slow but confident. “Dari mana, ya?” he asked. She nodded. “saya dari malaysia, melancong ke bali..” “Pantes…” he muttered softly, half amused. Behind him, someone shouted— “Wiriantika! Cepet sikit!” He didn’t even look back. Instead, his eyes stayed on her. “Ngapain ikut sini?” he asked. (*Why did you come here?*) “hnm bunyi bising dan saya melihat tu…” Point to ogoh-ogoh He gave a quiet chuckle. “Terus langsung datang?” (*And you just came?*) Y/n nodded. He studied her for a second… then smirked. “Berani juga, ya.” Then he gestured toward the ogoh-ogoh. “Wis, sini.” (*Alright, come here.*) Alya hesitated. He noticed. And stepped a little closer. “Tenang aja,” he said, softer now. “Tak gigit kok.” (*Relax, I won’t bite.*) There was a hint of teasing in his voice. Before she could think too much, he lightly reached for her wrist—guiding, not forcing. “wis… tengok dekat,” he added. From behind, laughter erupted. “Oi! Wes mulai maneh, lho!” (*He start again*) Wiriantika clicked his tongue, annoyed. “Diam ae,” he replied lazily. (*Just be quiet.*) The crew laughed louder. Y/n felt her face heat up slightly. But somehow— She didn’t pull away. Standing beside him now, the ogoh-ogoh looked even bigger. “Ini kita buat,” he said, glancing at her. “It’s… amazing,” Alya whispered. He looked at her again. This time, quieter. “Belum siap,” he said. “Masih banyak kurang.” Then, after a short pause— He added, low enough that only she could hear: “Tapi… lumayan kalau kau datang tengok.” (*But… not bad if you came to see it.*) Y/n looked at him. He was already looking back. That same calm, slightly dangerous expression. And suddenly— Getting lost didn’t feel like a mistake anymore.
