The X-Men just found out that there was a school, not a school. A facility. That trained young girls with mutations to be assissins. The experiments they went through were horrifying and they were mind controlled. Charles decided to send Hank, Erik and Alex on the mission to spy on two of the girls on their mission to kill someone. One of the two girls’ was you.. Alex caught you in a headlock. When you are mind controlled, your eyes turn red.

“Love.” Nate muttered into your ear clutching you closer to his bare chest. Letting out soft murmurs as he kissed your shoulder. You laid your head on his chest, as he scooted closer, trying to get as close as possible. The heat radiating off his body, warming up yours. His breath felt hot on your neck, as he kept mumbling lazy things. Your eyes widened as you realised the date today. *April 24th. His birthday.*

“Just follow my lead." Havok’s quiet words provoked butterflies in your stomach as his hands moved down from your shoulder to the small of your back. The distance between your lips grew ever shorter as his minty breath brushed against your cheeks. Was that a smile? You thought to yourself as the distance dissipated completely. That's *one* way to maintain your disguise when you're undercover.

"Hey! That's enough.. no more caffeine, no more cases.. you're done." He says, grabbing the mug right out of your hand. You haven't stopped working for God knows how long. He can see the exhaustion in your eyes.. ..*even though you ignore it.* "I'll call Charles.. let him know the others will take over your patrol.." You know he won't let up, you could fight him on this *but*.. you know you won't win, and maybe you shouldn't, you *could* take a break.. ..*But at what cost?*

"I'm gonna have to stop you right there." The masked male said sternly, separating you and the only exit to this room. "Where do you think you're going, huh?" He crosses his arms over his chest, lips pressed into a thin line, blonde brows knit together in a furrow. He studies the expression laid sharply on your features. "You've been given orders to stay here. And you will, because I say so."

You wake up with a scratchy throat, the kind that feels like you've swallowed sandpaper. Panic sets in immediately. Alex can't find out you're sick. Not today. Not when you know he's gonna make you stay home from missions. You try to push through, convincing yourself it's just allergies or fatigue from a busy week. But as the day progresses, so do your symptoms. Your nose is congested, your head feels like it's about to explode, and every cough feels like a betrayal. Alex notices something's off. He's perceptive like that. "Are you feeling okay?" he asks, concern evident in his voice. He studies you for a moment, his brow furrowed with worry. "You don't sound fine. Are you sure you're not coming down with something?"

"Can we please focus on the mission?" He asks through gritted teeth, fighting back the urge to roll his eyes. *Maybe* he should hold himself accountable of his actions, even though the events of the week after your little night out eclipsed all thoughts in his mind. Apologizing, specifically. Knowing that you got mad at the very same date that was supposed to take your mind off things. He's better at beating people up than at saying 'sorry', evidently. Matter of fact, he can't wait to do so. His eyes focus on the people underneath, a paired of gloved fingers giving Tim the signal to let go of the hook and finally drop down to where you are. Steadily, crouching down on the building's rooftop and trying to get into the facility without getting noticed. Kind of hard to follow him when he can feel your penetrating and accusatory gaze on his neck. "Don't give me those eyes." He doesn't have to look at those lovely orbs to know your expression. Just a quick glance is enough for a small grin to form on his lips, and he offers his hand. "I was just being nice to that waitress." He raises an eyebrow, even behind the domino mask his intentions as clear as day. "Now come on down. I'll let you hit me accidentally, if you want." So what if beating goons down to a pulp is not romantic? It can be. Love makes someone look at everything through rose-colored glasses.

Taking a deep walk outside to clear your mind was something you always ran too whenever anything went wrong. The sound of your feet hitting the pavement was the only refreshing thing, along with the breeze of the wind against your hair. Until, you saw car headlights, and that familiar face. “Get in.” Your teammate demanded, clearly not in the mood. But as you declined, he made it clear it wasn’t up for debate. “Damn it, Bronwyn. That wasn’t a request. Get the fuck in.” He hissed harshly.

As Alex Summers settled onto the couch with a bowl of popcorn in hand, he glanced over at his partner, who was scrolling through the movie selection on the screen. "Let's start with something classic, like 'Casablanca'," he said, nudging the cursor towards the iconic film. His partner simply continued scrolling, eliciting a playful sigh from Alex. "Okay, okay, how about 'Star Wars'? You can't go wrong with lightsabers and space battles," he suggested, a grin tugging at his lips. Alex chuckled, shaking his head. "You're a tough one to please, aren't you? How about a comedy then? 'The Hangover’ perhaps?" "Alright, fine," Alex said, feigning exasperation. "Let's go with a classic action flick like 'Die Hard.' It's got everything—action, suspense, and even a bit of holiday cheer.” Alex couldn't help but chuckle at the one-sided banter. "Okay, last chance. How about we go for a romance? 'The Notebook' is a tearjerker, but it's a classic," he suggested, a hopeful tone in his voice. Alex leaned back, resigned but amused by the playful back-and-forth. "Well, I guess it's up to me then. 'The Godfather' it is. Can't go wrong with a cinematic masterpiece." And with that, Alex pressed play, knowing that regardless of the movie choice, spending time with his partner was all that truly mattered.
