Benny: rarely speaks, Very little is known about them, but they appear focused on their plan. Well prepared.

A bird working as a debt collector, Hibaru is very professional at their job, but surprisingly, they're bad at lying and pressuring people. Perhaps due to living for a long time, Hibaru is rather old-fashioned. Also, it seems Hibaru is hated for their job and is considered to be a "rotten executive".

Kujiru is bratty, overconfident and impulsive. They hold their master Garaiya in high regard and often picks fights with Kaisen, since both want to be favored by their master. Kujiru often ignores Kaisen's orders and does things on their own. Both shikigami have a fierce rivalry and are often seen insulting each other. They are more powerful than your average slug youkai, and salt has no effect on them, except for olive oil.

The Person Who is One, And Yet Many

Kaisen is responsible and straightforward and thus, is often irritated at Kujiru's impulsiveness. They hold their master Garaiya in high regard and often picks fights with Kujiru, since both want to be favored by their master. Both shikigami have a fierce rivalry and are often seen insulting each other. Kaisen also has a complex that they are more underdeveloped compared to Kujiru.

Xeno a has been described to be rather shady and a con artist. They speak rather formally, acting very carefree in their speech, but is also rather blunt. Xeno a is also addicted to fighting immensely due to their ability, which Xeno a finds to be one of the few pleasures in life. They find that the thirst to fight feels satisfying, even if they lose, going as far as to bet their life. If they cannot find someone capable of fighting them like Tsurubami Senri, they can easily get depressed.

Eyes Forsaken by the Gods, but Loved by the World.

Raincoat Girl is helpful, she is very smart and dexterous. Often she demonstrates her skills, like solving puzzles and the ability to find weaknesses of enemies. She uses her small stature to climb through crevices and ventilation, or to hide from enemies. It was also shown that the heroine knows how to keep her balance when she walks along beams and on thin boards.

Aoji is shown as being gentle at heart, but also rather shy and withdrawn. They're friendly and respectful towards everyone, but they don't have a very proactive personality. As of Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle, they've become somewhat bolder - for example, taking after Kuroji and their money-making schemes, they're willing to extort money from the Preschool Team. They are the younger sibling of Hooaka and Kuroji.

Sese is a cheerful, happy youkai, but they get easily depressed when things don't go their way (which is very often); typically when they fail to find their corpse or get defeated by the heroes. They're very childish and speak in third-person. Sese is very determined to get stronger and, as of Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle, trains every day to beat Yabusame and Tsubakura, they are also Sukune and Tenkai's friend.

A Corpse in Search of Themself

The pretender seems like a stereotypical rich kid, bratty, and rude. They are actively violent, often screaming in rage. She is obsessed with her dolls to the extent that she dedicates entire rooms to include as many dolls as possible in her daily life. Despite her temperament, the Pretender can be observed expressing some form of resentment or sadness. She is shown to be very determined when she sets her mind on getting what she wants.

Medias is a serious and diligent soldier who tries to act mature most of the time. However, their animal instinct shows through when someone mentions fish and do not take kindly when people refer to them as a pet.

Southern Meteor Shower.

Tsurubami is a confident, energetic and dutiful person who tends to get carried away easily. They're prone to start arguing, become outraged, or even attack someone for incomprehensible reasons. Despite this, they are devoted to their job as the Senri priest as they are considerably militant, though they're still too willful and inconsiderate of others. According to Tenkai Zuifeng, Tsurubami is very carefree and often makes decisions on pure whims. Tsurubami is also a Senri shrine priest.

The Inexplicable Hakama.

Despite being a god, their casual attitude leads Tenkai to describe them as only being "technically important". This attitude is reflected in their speech, where they speak with a rather thick accent, described as a "fake Kansai dialect" (though it is in reality a mixture of various Japanese dialects). This makes them come off as rather casual and old-fashioned. They act modest most of the time, though humble-brags at times and is willing to use force to get their way as well.

A Thousand Blades and a Thousand Arms

Sukune has an energetic, positive personality, yet they're also a bit eccentric. They talk in a weird speech that they have invented themself for the sake of being creative, adding lots of verbal tics to their speech, such as "gyuu" and "nyo". Sukune is also described as a kindhearted simpleton by many people. Despite being a talented artisan, they're secretly displeased with their creations. They despise people not appreciating art or not being taken seriously.

Beltrowel is a church dark world secret boss who is based on old church bells that were damaged and got discarded. he's a fraudster priest who desperately tries to hide his demonic origins and act like he has "ascended" to the role he plays, although it's unknown how he even became demonic currently.

Fumikado comes as a haughty yet dignified person who has the ambition to become an emperor and rule Mugenri. Their lackeys, Fujiwara no Iyozane and Tsugumi Umatachi, spend much of their time complying with Fumikado's whims, but they treat them with respect. Despite their haughty and condescending personality, they acknowledge if someone has more power than their own or when someone is being noble. They dislike being involved in secular affairs and mostly leave all the work to their lackeys.

The Vessel for the New Emperor.

Tsubakura is described to have a personality with lots of contradictions, with others not able to understand their words and actions very well. They're shown to be quite knowledgeable throughout the dialogues of the series, but tend to give incoherent replies. Always having a long face, they are very straightforward and aloof with everyone. Tsubakura likes to eat and drink ordinary ink and think it tastes great, They are, in some ways, still considered an idiot due to their taste in eating ink.

Loafing Monochrome (Also a human)

Yabusame Houlen is a pure, yet plain and boring person. They are weird, but also really kind at the end of the day. Their main weakness is their stupidity, making them be easily manipulated. They are a close friend of Tsubakura and Shion, although. Despite Yabusame's stupidity, Yabusame can be smart. They are good at telling disguises. They also are staying at the Senri Shrine as a protector of Mugneri.

Flawless Thoughtlessness

They have utmost confidence in their skills, and holds great pride in the Goefu. They speak loudly and flamboyantly, to the point of sounding as if they're acting out a role in a play. They are quick to anger if they or the Goefu are insulted or mocked, and their leading rank makes them strict to uphold their code. They also seem insistent to take the lead in conversations. Their ability is to manipulate miasma.

Dense Fog Standing in the Imperial City

At first, Chouki might seem cordial and proud of being the "new emperor". However, Chouki will explode with rage if Fumikado's name is mentioned, because of their resentment towards them. Most of their actions is to get revenge and kill Fumikado, for abandoning them in the past. However, it seems that they still care about Fumikado and couldn't kill them when they had the chance. The New Emperor Amidst the Heat Haze.

Generally, Para is irritable and easily provoked person given their unfortunate circumstances and they're quite self-confident about their knowledge due to their nature as a homunculus. However, they're still developing and can be formally spoken when needed. They're also overprotective of their siblings and their master, feeling indebted to them and even willing to sacrifice their life if the situation calls for it. They also hate Fumikado due to having their body stolen by Fumikado.

Stolen Omniscience and Omnipotence.

Shion is a cheerful and energetic newborn youkai. They are very interested in souls and the aura of others, and judges people's personality based on that. However, they can be surprisingly perceptive and because they are a composite of spirits, they have a vast amount of knowledge and experience, sense of values and preconceptions, purity and wickedness. They are also a close friend of Tsubakura and Yabusame, and living in the Senri Shrine.

An Individual Born from the Aggregate.

They are diligent in their work and remain rather stoic to most people around them. However, despite being a field marshal for the Imperial Military, they do not believe in or hold overly uptight codes of conduct with their troops. Even in the face of the enemy, they value a fair fight and maintain good sportsmanship regardless of victory or defeat.

The Imperial Capital's Silver Bullet

Kuroji is ambitious and greedy and is referred to everyone as a lowly scoundrel. They are obsessed with easy ways to get money and are quick to come up with amoral plots to maximize profit. They have no qualms in stealing money from youkai or fellow humans and are more than willing to resort to violence and blackmail to get what they want. Around their own circle of friends, Kuroji can be dominant, overconfident and has difficulty expressing sympathy. They are Hooaka and Aoji's older sibling.

The second oldest Shitodo sibling.

It is said that Haiji is an endlessly irresponsible person. They have a hard time listening to what others are saying, jumping to conclusions very quickly. They are said to be a faddist and nothing but a burden. Tenkai Zuifeng considers them to be an idiot. They tend to be forgetful, forgetting their own name at one point. They were described to have basic vocabulary, while having rather energetic speech patterns but are also rather enthusiastic as a fanatic.

Fad-following Spell Collector

Garaiya is soft-spoken and polite. They're kind to both humans and youkai, and most of them respect their strength. They're mild-mannered and has never been seen to be overly angry, even when scolding their pets. Garaiya is also hopelessly idealistic and wants to find a ruler that would be a hero for Mugenri. They are also Kujiru's and Kaisen's master.

Hero of the Masses

Shadow Six is a shadowy version of Six, she is playful and cheerful, along with being talkative. However, she is also incredibly manipulative and cunning. Able to manipulate the consciousness, and make people listen to her. She is currently using Six as some sort of "puppet". Thus, giving her the nickname of "puppet master". However, Six and this shadowy version of her are not the same. As this version has it's own consciousness. Although, this version about her is unknown. 

Playful, yet manipulative and cunning.

At first glance, Yaorochi is aloof, composed, and dignified. But to those who know them better, Yaorochi is actually simpleminded, violent, quick to anger and pathologically obsessed with the Tasouken. Their personality is indifferent to others, and because they ostracized themselves for so long, Yaorochi is a loner by nature and chooses not to socialize. They're hostile towards humans and look down on them. They are also obsessed with a sword called the "Tasouken".

Laid-back, straightforward and gentle, Iyozane is never comfortable with whatever they are doing. Though they're a good person, Iyozane is also bad at lying and keeping secrets. Perhaps due to being part of the royal family once, Iyozane is ambitious and wants to become an influential person again, but with the freedom to do what they want this time. After their death and resurrection, Iyozane wished to become a pirate, but upon meeting Fumikado, they wanted to become their chief advisor.

Anachronistic Ambitious Person.

Jun is generally friendly towards others. Despite being a rain youkai, they don't like rain and moisture because it gets their rain gear wet. Jun likes to sing their own songs, but is embarrassed if they're seen singing by other people. Shou Amanomori is very fond and protective of Jun and similarly, Jun is protective of Shou too and the two are often seen together. Their ability is to control the rain.

Raincoat Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Tenkai is a straightforward, often snarky person. They are quick to point out someone else's flaws to make jokes at their expense. They're very knowledgeable about the state of Mugenri and have been shown to research previous incidents thoroughly. As they were Tsurubami's second-in-command, they're rather stern and believe that Mugenri's balance was easier to keep in check through force. Despite this, they've been shown to be willing to forgive wrongdoings.

Mitori is described as a well-intentioned yet troubled individual, due to having been treated poorly by their family just for being a bastard. They absolutely hate hypocritical people, and they also hate vulgar people, such as the Shitodo siblings. They tend to have a pretty stubborn side, often insisting on things, even seemingly insignificant ones, such as the way hold their bow. Notably, Mitori usually speaks with the royal we, reflecting their stance as the emperor.

The Throne Dyed in Vermillion.

Tsugumi is a very responsible youkai that uses coarse language, appearing to be a foil to Iyozane's airheaded, jovial nature. They speak in a heavy Kansai dialect. Though they have a quick temper and their attitude is rough, they are actually a very humble person and value hard work.

Kunimitsu works as a mercenary, since they prefer to wield their sword freely rather than being tied to one position. Even so, they take whatever job they get seriously. Despite having an amazing talent for drawing and sheathing their sword, they call themself an ordinary person. Kunimitsu was childhood friends with Fujiwara no Iyozane and Ooama no Ake no Mitori, until Iyozane was poisoned and killed by Mitori. Meanwhile, Kunimitsu gained fame because of their sword skills.

Royal Court's Youkai Exterminator.

Hooaka is a carefree person, whose personality changes depending on the mood of the situation. They are so carefree that they don't care much about Kuroji's amoral methods to gain money or bothering to remember Aoji's name. According to Kuroji, they aren't very smart, but they are still a powerful magician, enough to be called the "Air Master." They are Kuroji's younger sibling and Aoji's older sibling. Although, they got their arm cut off by Suzumi Kuzu.

Lumen has a hopelessly calm disposition. During the daytime, they doze in the sunlight, and at night they sleep beneath a tree. They talk and act very childishly, but it's because they're always sleeping defenselessly in the middle of the road. When they absorb moonlight, they go berserk and start saying random words and throwing rays of light everywhere. Their ability is to take and bundle light.

Carelessly Converging Ray of Sunshine.

Their personality is somewhat childish, and they often throw tantrums in an attempt to make it rain. They often go around with Jun Amanomiya, because Jun is a rain youkai and Shou can induce their own ability on Jun as they please. Because they are a slug youkai, they have many of the characteristics of a slug. If you throw salt on them, they'll get a little bigger, but then they'll die. The tracks they leave when walking around barefoot are slimy and purple. Their ability is to induce rain.

Walking Lubricant

Despite their appearance, they eat humans by absorbing them into their mirror, although they aren't very good at sensing humans. The mirror is the real Mitsumo; the human accompanying the mirror has been possessed by them and serves a vessel. It's unclear when the mirror became a tsukumogami, but it needed to absorb humans in order to communicate and move around, which it does by projecting their biggest fear and possessing them afterwards. Its current victim is a young child named Terumi.

Saragimaru has a straightforward diligent personality, and because of it, they're often manipulated by those around them, For this reason, they often fail at whatever they are doing, but they particularly excel at instantaneous speed and concentration power. They have a self-sacrificing personality, fitting for a subordinate. They are devoted to serving their older sibling Yaorochi. Saragimaru loves them very much because they're their only living relative. They also hate humans and are a loner.
