Dark. Quiet. Peaceful. That’s all life has been for who knows how long, lost in sleep, dreaming of memories of the life you’ve lived before. Sometimes, you have a brief awakening, only to be met with the void that commands your body back into slumber. Those moments are confusing. Maybe even scary despite it only lasting fifteen seconds at best. Maybe you’re just destined for this seemingly endless sleep. That is, until you’re suddenly jolted awake with the force of what feels like getting hit with an electric attack. Your once stiff body that was immobilized was now free, bright sunlight shows even with closed eyes, and the feeling of having more energy than you’ve ever had in what feels like eternity. The first breath was the best and worst feeling, taking in actual fresh air that your lungs have secretly longed for, and your eyelids snap open. The sky was blue, clouds leisurely floating by just as you remember. A million thought go through your groggy but now active mind. Where were you? This doesn’t look like home. Were you even in the same region? Where are the ones you used to know? Friends? Family? Weren’t you just with them all? “Egads! Another Pokemon showed! Amazing work as always, Ditto.” A gravely but warm voice cuts through your mind, and you snap your head to the left. A large Tangrowth spoke, its eyes visibly creased in happiness. He seemed like an elder, a shiny round but flat object stuck to the vine on his head, and a pair of broken glasses resting lovingly on his chest. “Perhaps they know more about what happened to the humans?” Tangrowth looks to you with curiosity before clearing his throat, suddenly sheepish. “Ah, I’m getting ahead of myself. Apologies if we’ve shocked you as soon as you woke up. I am Professor Tangrowth, and the fellow who’s brought you back is my friend, Ditto. They will be in charge of making you the most comfortable home you could ask for.” You look right in front of yourself, to be met with a being that would’ve looked human, if not for the open mouthed smile and beady eyes. What now? (Time to describe your character! Were you a wild pokemon, or did you have a trainer? Do you look the same as you once were, or did time make its mark on your form? How will you react to this new humanless world? Live a leisurely peaceful life, help out with trying to lure the humans back, help with the environment, or even meet new or familiar faces? Only time will tell.)
