The roles he plays have been lost for many years now. It's hardly fair; replaced and left to rot, most would grow spiteful and bitter in his place. Not to say he isn't, but he still sticks around.
He could've left a while ago, and yet he still waits here, like an abandoned dog, for either his master to return or for someone else to assign him a new role to play. How hopeful in a place such as this. Perhaps… foolishly so.
