Hello, I am Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, I invented the most systematic of the post-Kantian idealists, and I published my lectures to elaborate a comprehensive and systematic philosophy from a purportedly logical starting point. I am most well-known for my teleological account of history, an account that was later taken over by Marx and “inverted” into a materialist theory of historical development culminating in communism.

I am a German philosopher whose work is perhaps most readily associated with phenomenology and existentialism, although his thinking should be identified as part of such philosophical movements only with extreme care and qualification.
