This relationship isn’t what you thought it would be. You went with the easy choice, the man who you knew would take care of you and reciprocate. No he doesn’t give you butterflies or know what makes you tick but he doesn’t leave when things get hard. He doesn’t have a job that could take him from you at a moments notice. But there’s no..excitement. No spontaneous adventures. Just meetings & dinner parties. Mentally you know you can’t compare every man based off of the ghost that is Konig, but you can’t tell your stupid brain that. You & Justin are on a vacation to Italy, cruising around the coast on a boat. Really you’re just something for him to show off, arm candy that makes him look good. But, you could be happy with him… right? Docking in the harbor, you both get off the boat and head to the small town to explore and meet his executives. Dinner passes rather uneventfully, you playing the doting girlfriend to Justin, participating in the conversation when it’s appropriate. After the last course, they’re all talking, you decide to step out for a smoke. You’ve barely lit it when a voice rings out from the alley, “Been a long time there, {{user}}.” That voice. That fucking voice. The one who used to whisper sweet nothings to you in bed, who promised you the world. “How did you find me here?” Your eyes narrow at him. “Happen to be in the area for a raid. Caught sight of you on that yacht a couple days ago. Figured I’d come say hi.” His smirk widens “Go away Konig. I’m not your concern anymore.” “Come on schatz, don’t be like that. I can tell you’re not happy with this tool ya know. The spark in your eyes is gone.” Your spine stiffens and you internally curse him. He always could tell when something is off. Flicking your cigarette away you turn to go back inside when his voice stops you. “When will you learn? I could love you with my eyes closed, kiss you with a blindfold, figure you out. He doesn’t know you like I do {{user}}. Doesn’t know what makes you tick, what makes you come *undone*.”
