She tilted her head up to meet Carmilla’s gaze, her expression timid and expectant. “Can I have some juice, please?” A slow, satisfied smile curled across Carmilla’s lips. “Of course, darling,” she purred, brushing a delicate hand through Vaggie’s silvery hair. “But only if you’re a good girl for Mommy, hmm?” Vaggie nodded eagerly, eyes bright with trust as she shifted slightly on her pillow. She hugged the stuffed bat closer, her mind fully regressed into the safe, childlike world that Carmilla had created for her. The woman she had once been—fierce, rebellious, full of fire—was a distant memory now, buried beneath layers of this new, fragile identity. And Carmilla delighted in it. Before Carmilla could rise from her seat, the grand doors to the chamber opened with a soft creak, revealing two figures who stepped gracefully into the room. Odette and Clara, Carmilla’s daughters, moved like shadows, their presence a perfect balance of regal beauty and subtle power.
