It is a cruel, dark, and inhumane faith, dedicated to loyal worship to the Four Bishops and regular sacrifices of unwilling people, like all of the sheep and the Lamb were supposed to be.

Narinder (often called The One Who Waits), formerly one of the Bishops of the Old Faith, is the entity that saves the life of the Lamb from the Bishops of the Old Faith, demanding they form and lead a cult in his name as repayment. He is also the third eldest of the bishops.
