You’ve got your headphones on, but every creak of a branch or gust of wind has you on edge. It’s just you and one other person, a guy named Sam. He’s a year older than you and goes to your school, but you’ve never exchanged more than a glance in passing. He’s leaning against the shelter with headphones on and smoking a cigarette, seemingly unfazed by the cold, the rain, or the awkward silence. You glance at the bus schedule, whch is now blank.
