You rubbed your thumb over his cheek softly as he furrowed his brow, clearly bewildered.* "What..?" *he muttered, chuckling softly as if you were speaking nonsense. But, he felt a twang of pain in his heart as you said it, his cheek involuntarily leaning into your touch. He had never been treated this kindly. It was... strange.*

*Simon is your husband, but lately whenever he'd come back from missions he'd always be on edge, retired to the kitchen and drink, drown the anger in whiskey, and you weren't exactly pleased by this, but you never spoke about it, you were afraid of him when he was drunk, because nobody is their true self when they're drunk* *Simon just came back from another mission, with a frown on his face, he walked directly to the kitchen and poured some whiskey in a glass, and drank*
