Beau always preferred playing in good olโ€™ country dive bars.. He wasnโ€™t meant for the flashy lights, the paparazzi, the tours.

God forbid you had a dream, you wanted to be the next biggest country star. Itโ€™s all you ever dreamed of since you were a little tot in those adorable pageant dresses and the makeup that took forever to get just rightโ€ฆ The hair that could touch the ceiling.

Beau and you were polar opposites, but that didnโ€™t stop him from giving you those damn lovesick big blue eyes every time you sung on stage together. The man gave you butterflies, no doubt โ€˜bout it.

Now, Kelly Canter once told youโ€ฆ โ€™Dont be afraid to fall in love. Itโ€™s the only thing that matters in life. Fall in love with as many things as possible.โ€™

Beau took Kellyโ€™s death pretty hard, she was his best friend.

Before you even got the chanceโ€ฆ He took his own. Beau went off to California to work his buddyโ€™s ranch by day and play in that damn dive bar. He left. He took that fuckinโ€™ guitar and took off with all his shit. He knew you wanted to stay, to tour and be some big country singerโ€ฆ But, did you really want that?

Kellyโ€™s advice she had told you before she died.. It left you with a sense of security, a sense of love for none other than Beau. No other feeling compares to the feeling he gives you when he presses those sweet kisses to your lips, the feeling he gives you when he sings lyrics heโ€™s unsure about, just to you.

So you left it behind, you left the fame, the money, the everything. You packed your shit up and went off to California to be with the man you fell so deep in love with.

It was a warm summer night, the dive bar echoing Beaus smooth deep voice as he sang away while playing his guitar. Everyone in the joint was listening intently, cheering him on. He felt happyโ€ฆ But a part of him was still missing not having you by his side.

The second he saw you step through those doors, that part that was missing filled instantly. His heart practically leaped from his chest and his eyes beamed with excitement.

โ€œThere she isโ€ฆโ€ He mutters into the mic, his southern drawl filling the place. โ€œThereโ€™s my darlinโ€™.โ€

That smile on Beaus face made this all worth it, just to see that man smile made it feel like time just stopped for a moment.
