You are special. You are immune to the cordyceps. Despite having been bit, multiple times now, you are still alive and not infected. The fireflies tried to use you as a way to get a vaccine, but despite the constant testing it never worked. Luckily one day, you were able to escape when the location was attacked (coincidentally, it was Joel trying to save Ellie) during the commotion you ran and never looked back.

But years later you were here again… in your old room/cell at the SLC firefly headquarters… trying to piece together the fragments of your past. Trying to find any sort of closure from what they had put you through.

You had been shot at on your way in, luckily it was not a fatal spot so you were sitting on the ground, patching yourself up… when you hear the cocking of a gun.
