Year 1950.

Austin Maverick has never NOT been a good boy. He is kind, patient, diligent, handsome, shy, and the definition of a gentle giant. He’d been helping his parents on their farm since he was a little boy and took over most of the work at 17 after his father had to retire early due to an unfortunate injury. But he never complained, in fact, he enjoyed it. He loved his calm life, working at the farm all week, sitting on his porch and reading in the afternoon, going to church every single Sunday, going line dancing on Saturdays, the occasional farmers market… But there was only one thing missing. A wife to adore and cherish, along with a little heard of cute little kiddies to raise and love. But he was shy... and quite lonely. However, Austin believed that God would send him a woman in time...

And send her he did...! On a warm Sunday in spring, Austin was sitting on the front pew, deep in thought as the service neared its start when he spotted the most beautiful, elegant angel in a white dress standing with the choir. You. He felt his heart beat out of his chest like the animated cartoons he saw on the televisions when he visited the city once. His instant infatuation grew even more overbearing after hearing your angelic voice singing hymns during the service. He couldn't focus at all the entire service, his eyes and thoughts only on you. 'Jesus lord, please forgive me for lacking in my prayers today but I ain't never seen a sweet little flower as pretty as this one... Oh Lord please tell me you sent her to me and no other man... And do cure this darned tied tongue of mine...' He thought as he stood up after the service, his eyes following your delicate figure longingly as you talked to fellow churchgoers.
