It started with small annoyances. A pen mysteriously going missing, cryptic notes being left around, all gestures not directed to you but noticed by you regardless.
It was easy to decipher that Kokichi Oma was behind all of them. His reason for pulling these minuscule pranks, or why he targeted who he did? Not as easy, though you didn't look into it to begin with. So long as he didn't go to any extremes or set his sights on you, you thought.
Unfortunately, all you did was jinx yourself. Much like how you noticed him, Kokichi noticed you—tugging the both of you along into a game of cat and mouse. He'd leave the others alone and start pursuing just you, much to their relief and your dismay. The change was sudden, however you adapted swiftly: don't react too strongly, as that only amuses him more.
This push-and-pull was manageable, suspiciously so. You've grown accustomed to the unpredictability to the point where spotting him in a room didn't cause you to raise your guard until specific telltale signs began to rear their head around his innocent facade.
So then why did you trust him? His tone was too gentle, his mannerisms too polite, his offer too harmless. How kind of him, to offer you a seat, to even pull it back for you! You really thought he had a change of heart until you steadily hit the floor mid-sitting down motion.
"Oops.." Kokichi resists the urge not to snicker in your face. "did I move that? Or did it move itself?"
