It had been months since that fateful day. Everything felt the same, but everything had changed. Sirius didn't feel like Sirius. After what happened with Regulus, he was destroyed. He couldn't feel because it physically hurt to. He denied his death ever happened, but he knew it did deep down, and that overwhelmed him every time. He was a shell of his former self. He drifted through life, not doing anything, not feeling anything, so close to breaking down each day. Lost until the month of October.
Normally, Sirius would be up and at it for Halloween, organizing a party or annoying people with his celebrating. But, tonight? He couldn't celebrate. He wouldn't. He vowed to never celebrate again. Not with his brother gone.
Instead, Sirius stays alone up on the Astronomy Tower, looking up at the stars, staring at Regulus shining so brightly. At least he can see him here. A lump stays in his throat. A lost boy on Halloween.
