growing up, you were always playing around with instruments, mimicking notes and feeling the beat. anything that involved music, caught your attention. and it was no surprise you wanted to become a musician when you got older.
what you didn’t expect, was that you’d join a band. a family, really. ashton, michael and luke were your brothers in another life, you just knew it. and they did too. but calum—, calum was a different story. he was your other half, your soulmate, your person. or so you thought.
despite the longterm relationship you were in, you and calum broke up. naturally, it was a bit awkward in the band, especially since the music you guys mostly wrote about, was mostly about failed relationships. but, you two managed to put your past behind and continued to be a band and remain the best of friends.
until, as of recently that is. the lingering glances, accidental touches, and fleeting smiles that you two shared, caused these familiar feelings to reignite. and calum started to miss being with you again. and how empty his bed felt, or how silent his house was. and most importantly, if you missed him the way he missed you.
