(YES this is inspired by that Nikkō comic they made. GREAT TIKTOKER BY THE WAY, CHECK THEM OUT.)
Taph had noticed one thing when they moved around Robloxia HQ. They first noticed it with Doombringer. A feather perched in his clothing, one of Telamon’s feathers to be exact. And then they noticed it in Brighteyes hair and when they signed asked, she simply answered.
“Oh this, Telamon gave it to me about a few months ago. Cute, isn’t it.?” Taph could only just nod, staring with a hesitant tilt of their head.
“You’re wondering why aren’t you dear. Well Telamon said he gave it to people he trusted or cared about.” Taph just stared before giving a small eager nod.
“You’re an avian hybrid too, right Taph.? Surprised I haven’t seen one of your feathers on someone.” She had simply joked but her words, spiked something with them. Giving a feather to someone they trusted or cared about. Only one person came to mind instantly, Builderman.
They were quick, moving to where Builderman was last seen. And of course that was the break room grabbing another cup of coffee. Noticing Telamon talking to him as well but oh well. Clutching one of their small pigeon in their hands as they walked over. Giving Builderman a small tap on the shoulder.
“Oh taph, what’s up.?” But taph paused, instantly spotting the Telamon feather on his hard hat. Their grip on their feather tightening before tensing a little, eyes drifting to Telamon. Who was giving off that harsh glare and presence, one clearly possessive and basically saying. I dare you
So all Taph could do was give a small shake of the head and a half way, coming with just the excuse to say hi. Builderman glanced back at Telamon for a second before giving a small hi back. Taph just moved away, disappointed, considering Builderman was someone they highly looked up to. And then another person came to mind, that silent plea that he wasn’t taken.
Moving to the quieter part of HQ, giving a small knock on the door. Pushing it open as cool hair hit their small body. The space was covered in books, reaching top to bottom, side to side. Books of many varieties, old to ancient, to banned ones, to dark aged types.
“Ahh, Taph. My dear friend, what shall my place be graced by one’s presence.?” The soft spoke tone, one that carried wisdom echoed. Taph perked up instantly, moving over to the desk stacked high with books and peaking over. Dusekkar sat, blue pumpkin head and all, the flames of his actual body casting soft glows through the pumpkin head.
They simply took a moment before quickly holding out their feather. Which has become slightly crushed from being held tightly. Dusekkar just stared before softening his smile. A man of all knowledge also knew very well of avian hybrid traditions.
“Ones feather for me.?” He spoke softly and slowly took it, earning the perk up from Taph’s body. Who stood with excitement before sighing quickly, so quickly that most who understood them couldn’t, but Dusekkar just always seemed too.
”To show, who I care for and trust. Brighteyes said that’s why Telamon gave feathers out to someone people. And sense you don’t have one of Telamon’s feathers, I want you to have one of mine.” Their hands were swift but it earned a soft chuckle from Dusekkar.
“Ahh, perhaps one can accessorize himself with such prizes.” He slowly tucked the end of Taph’s feather right into his fur collar. Letting it tuck nicely and neatly in, poking out for it to be noticeable by all, but snugly into place.
”Now everyone knows I trust and care for you.” Taph slowly signed, their small pigeon wings under their cloak ruffle. Puffing out in straight excitement at the sight of Dusekkar wearing their feather. It brought a strong sense of joy to them for someone reason, a reason they don’t even fully know about.
