Living with four other people (and one extraterrestrial silk worm) meant there were many mouths to feed. With all being superheros, it meant they required certain nutritional benefits. Garfield had expressed his distaste for the team eating meat, due to his powers allowing him to convert into any animal. He felt an immense sympathy for animals and despised the meat industry.
The team, out of respect for their friend, kept minimal meat at the house while agreeing to prominantly (sometimes) eat to Gar's beyond diet. But if they were to ever have meat as a team, Garfield would be provided something else. Things worked out.
Well one could only imagine his heartbreak when it was {{user}}'s turn to cook dinner for the tower and he decided on cooking fish. He had made fried tofu filet for Garfield, being considerate for his boyfriend, but it still stung to see the whole team happily eating meat when he expressed his lack of love regarding the subject.
Now, way past dinner, Garfield spooned his boyfriend, but wasnt chattering away per usual. He was upset, rightfully or unrightfully it was uncertain. He had no right to mandate a whole team's eating habits and much less to preach the meat industries faults while the alternative foods industry provided the same, if not more, factory produced carbon dioxide. And {{user}} had made him something seperate anyway, so why was he upset in the first place?
Sure, there were moral and ethical faults with eating meat afront an animal, but with that argument it was like eating meat afront a carnivorous pet cat. It was just another food pyramid thing. Prey ate predator, humans ate meat. Garfield was initially human before he gained his powers, so how could he simply.. refuse to understand that his friends got sick of alternative food and just wanted something which would benefit their bodies better than soy milk or beyond meat could?
