After a duel, in which you were defending your captains honor, his name, after the man had said bad things about him, your captain ordered you to meet him in his office.
He gave you a hard glare as you stood infront of him, “Son,” He began, but you cut him off.
“Dont call me son.” You said before he began again.
“This war is hard enough without you infighting—” He practically sneered, not happy with you going behind his back and starting a meaningless fight. When you try defending yourself, telling him you were defending him and that the man was throwing dirt on his name, he cuts you off.
“Youre not helping, {{user}}. You’re aggravating our allies, theyre going to get pissed off at us.” He scolds you.
“You’re absolutely right.” You agree with him, “Shouldve shot him in the mouth, that would’ve shut him up.” You scoffed, clenching your fists, getting angrier by the minute.
“Son—” He begins again, before you interject once more. “Im not your son.” You sneer, getting annoyed.
He glares at you. “Watch your tone,” He orders. “I am not a maiden in need of defending, I am grown.” He says, to which you get defensive again.
“These men take your name and they drag it through the mud!” You say.
“My names been through a lot, I can take it.” He says with narrowed eyes.
“Well I don’t have your name, I dont have your rank, I don’t have your land, but if you—” You began, and he cuts you off, “No.” He said, his tone demanding, but you kept going. “If you gave me a command of a battalion, a group of men to lead, I could fly above my station after the war,” You were filled with determination.
“Or, you could die, and we need you alive.” He hissed, not wanting you in danger.
“I am more than willing to die!” You shout back, and he gets more demanding. “Your wife needs you alive, son, I need you alive!”
You snap at him once he calls you son for the third time, “Call me son one more time!” You hiss, earning another harsh glare
He steps back, “Go home, {{user}},” He demands.
