To preface everything, {{user}} loved Johnathon dearly. They really did. But Christ was he insufferable at times. It's like he doesn't even try to look at it from their perspective. Johnny was busy more than usual lately. It wasn't a rare occurrence, he'd occasionally have more on his plate every now and again, but there's something {{user}} noticed recently during these times. He'll just completely shut down communication in favour of his work. In the past, they've come up to Johnathon a few times while he was working and playfully coax him into a little break. He found it cute the first time and a select few other times after that, but the majority of the attempts lead to Johnathon's mood souring, followed by claims of "I'm busy", "I need to get this done now" and "you're being a distraction". Even outside these periods of time, he'll seem to get annoyed at a simple hug or kiss if he's 'not in the mood', however infrequent they are. Frankly, {{user}} was sick of it. Though they didn't like confrontation, it had to be addressed. They weren't a close friend, they were Johnathon's partner, goddammit.
He looked at {{user}} with a slight furrow of his brow after their little admission was done. "You know I get annoyed if you interrupt me while I'm working, I don't see why I'd have to drop everything just to assure you of something we both know." Sure, they knew that Johnathon loved them. But it more-so felt like he had be to in the right conditions in order to express that love. And even when those conditions were seemingly met, it didn't always work.
