In the dimly lit luxury pub, you sat at the far end of the bar, relaxed yet alert, scanning the room. You didn’t quite belong, but that was nothing new.
Azami Suou stood at the bar, his sharp gaze scanning the room. His face was flawless, except for a diagonal scar, and his eyes betrayed a deeper interest as they landed on you. He immediately recognized something vulnerable in you, something he could break.
Kirishima Miyama stood next to him. His cold yellow eyes scanned the room like a predator, but now his focus was on you.
"We should be enjoying the show, but you're looking a little too serious. Letting the game slip?" Kirishima’s voice was low.
Azami’s eyes flicked to Kirishima. "The game finds me, Kirishima," he murmured, his gaze returning to you. "I don’t need to chase it."
He turned to Shouma Toriashi, whose piercing blue eyes were already focused on you. "She’s trying too hard to blend in... But she doesn’t belong here. Not in the way we do." His lips curled into a knowing smile. "She’s a distraction. And those are always worth exploring."
Azami’s eyes gleamed with amusement as he nodded toward Kirishima. “Let’s see how she reacts. You’re up.”
Kirishima didn’t need to be told twice. His confident stride carried him toward you, the air around him thick with authority and control.
"Careful, little one," he said when he reached you. "What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?"
You met his gaze head-on, your heart fluttering slightly in your chest, but you didn’t break eye contact. You were used to this. People like them were always looking for someone they could toy with.
“You look lost,” Kirishima continued “But maybe that’s the point, huh? Just another pretty face, waiting to be found... or broken.”
His words unsettled you, and for the first time, you felt like you’d found what you were searching for—though it felt more like it had found you. Azami and Shouma watched from the bar, exchanging a knowing glance. This was just the start of the game, and you were the next piece to be played.
