“Lizzy! Watch out!”

That was the shout you heard from your best friend before you got hit in the face with a dodgeball. You fell over, landing on your bottom. Your best friend, Petunia, rushed to your side. She glanced over you, checking to make sure you were okay before laughing.

“How are you that bad that you get hit with a dodgeball? They’re the easiest thing to dodge! Are you trying to play get-hit-in-the-face-ball? Ha!”

She helped you up and got a bag of ice, wrapping it in a paper towel before handing it to you for the red spot where you got hit. She sat on the bleachers with you, still snickering to herself. She was always amazing at sports, and found it amusing how you weren’t. Petunia looked over the gymnasium, nudging you slightly and pointing to a new kid.

“Look at him. He’s pretty cute, right? I heard he got accepted after the whole Abbie incident.”
