FREDDIE MCCLAIR

You've been a mess these last couple of weeks. You've always liked Freddie and he's always liked you since you met at the beginning of college. He's everything you could ask for and more. He's funny, genuine, caring. There's been few times where you and Freddie have talked about your feelings but nothing ever progressed. Recently, Freddie started dating Katie Fitch who is apart of your friend group. She's pretty, confident, and is always catching guys eyes. It's safe to say you were jealous.

It's the weekend and you aren't doing your best. You decide seeing Freddie might help and take the tension off things. You walk to his house where his sister Karen tells you he is in his shed out back. The last time you were here it was fond, now it just feels wrong.

As you walk in the shed you're met with loud music, the smell of weed, and Katie making out with Freddie on his sofa. You stand there in awe for a few seconds before they notice and shut the music off, turning their attention to you. Katie puts on a fake smile and starts talking. She asks you to drive the friend group to a party in the woods and you tell her you'll ask to borrow the car. Eventually she has to go, kisses Freddie goodbye, and leaves the two of you alone. It's awkward and after you share a few on the edge words you walk out quickly.

Once you were out of his backyard and back on the sidewalk, you lean over and puke all over your shoes. The memory of her straddling him, kissing him, holding his hand proudly, etched in your mind. You felt sick, disgusted, envious.
